Cole moved from where Master Kaito was keeping him propped and use the [Wild Charge] skill again, the ability blowing back his own guards as his vision seemed to swim with exhaustion. He grabbed a hold of the grenade that had been thrown and chucked it down the stairs.
[Gravity]
The ensuing explosion released a wave of silver flames that rushed up, but Cole pushed the limits of his [Gravity] mastery, stopping most of the explosion from ripping him apart as it threw him backwards, and right into the waiting Arms of Master Kaito.
Cole had no idea how he was using his abilities in the real world, and he really didn’t care how he was doing it. If these abilities were not being used now, then he would already be dead. After getting his feet under him and ignoring the wave of weakness he felt, he felt a handkerchief been thrust into his hand as Master Kaito raised his hand to his nose to help Cole clean away the blood that had started to drip down.
“You need to take it easy young master Cole. Avoid using your abilities please, just let us handle getting you out of here.”
“But you will die?” Cole complained, not at all willing to let anyone he knows die again.
“Then at least it would be for a worthy cause! Now come on, no more superhero shit! Just shoot them.”
Cole nodded his head in agreement as they made their way down the stairs, ignoring the scene of mangled flesh and bodies that had been blown to bits. Cole just focused on keeping his feet underneath himself as they went past multiple floors without any altercation.
At least until they got to last floor, where the stairs opened up into parking lot by the left, and an open courtyard for the apartment complex on the right.
“If we use either the parking lot of the entrance of the apartment complex we will be pinned down. I’ve radioed for some air support and extraction, but if we don’t at least lay down some suppressive fire, they will not be able to land.” Rosaline said, as another one of the guards took a quick peek outside before saying.
“The reporter drones are outside sir.”
“It doesn’t matter, it’s too late to go back now, and I’m sure our opponents will not pull back their punches on account of maybe getting exposed. We need to get Young Master Cole away from here as quickly as possible.” Kaito replied as they all got into formation, preparing the storm the courtyard and head for the entrance, or at least for cover.
They all rushed out, gun out and ready as Hexagonal shields popped up around their bodies, creating a measured shield of energy around them. Almost a hundred bullets slammed into the shield the very moment they stepped out, lighting the blue green energy contracts up like the Fourth of July… or perhaps October first.
That few seconds of having bullets slammed into the shields was enough for Cole to accurately pinpoint where most of their assailants were. He couldn’t shoot through the shield, but it only created a dome that reached down to their knees, more than enough space for him to lay down some suppressive fire.
Cole took accurate shots, making sure they went in between and past the knees of the people putting their lives on the line for his sake. All that could be heard was the constant spit of bullets, and roar of people falling to their deaths, and right in the middle of it all was Cole, and angel of death right in the middle of a circle of shields.
*Zing!*
Cole paused and once again had to pull Master Kaito out of the way, it was annoying to a fault why it seemed that he was always the one being targeted…. Or perhaps this was a two for one deal from whoever the fuck is pulling this operation.
Master Kaito was important to the Night family, he was mostly responsible for teaching most if not all of their enforcers, guards and body guards. He was family, and losing him would be just as devastating as losing his brothers.
Cole felt something slam into him, or perhaps it would be easier to say he felt someone slam into him. He recognized the skill almost immediately, but this was one had a different variation and had more power… this was [Wild Charge]
The person to use the skill blasted Cole out of the circle of shield that had kept him protected, slammed his back into the interlocking beneath them, bringing starts to his eyes and blood to his mouth, before they both unceremoniously crashed into a flower bed, sending debris of porcelain, clay, concrete, and soil into the air.
They ended up with Cole underneath the guy as his fist came flying for Cole’s face. Cole who was sure he probably had a concussion by this point shifted his head to the side as the fist slammed into the ground besides him with a loud thud. He heard the person wince in pain as they pulled back, but there was no way in hell he would let them just get away with a bruised fist.
Cole sent his right leg up at an angle, partly blinded by the sun in the sky and the blood in his eyes, he gave a quick nod of approval when the person over him gave off a startled cry… which was good….Cole had hit his balls.
The person pulled back, which was a mistake as far as Cole was concerned as he wrapped his legs around the person’s own and brought them down, before rolling over so that both their backs were facing the sky. Cole positioned himself well enough to grab their foot and applied the [Calf Crusher] submission move from pro-wrestling.
But he was not trying to make the person submit, there was a very good reason why the move itself was called a calf crusher. With one hard wrench to the left and another to the right, Cole broke his ankle, adding a little wiggle for effect at the person let out a piercing shriek of pain.
But Cole was far from finished as he quickly grabbed the other foot and stood up, his eyes manic as he held his assailants foot aloft in another wrestling maneuver the [Ankle Lock]. Cole noticed that all of the shooting had stopped, he checked on master Kaito and Rosaline to see that they were relatively okay. But three of the guards where shot with one of them being in critical condition. And then as Cole watched… he stopped breathing.
He didn’t think twice or hesitate, he pulled out his hand gun, ignoring the screams of wait that came from all around him as he put a bullet straight into the thigh of the person that had now invariably become his hostage. The piercing shriek of pain was ignored as Cole observed that no shots were fired back at him…. Looks like this guy is important.
“Young Man I ask you not to do anything that you would regret later on. I recognize that you are angry over the death of your friend here, but do note that we have you surrounded, and any more harm visited upon young master Malcom would be visited back upon you and your rabble ten times over.
So hand him over, we wouldn’t want him to bleed out to death, as that would mean we kill you. Hand him over to us and let’s just call it even for today, we can resume this fight later on. Cole ignored him as he thumbed the safety back on and shoved the gun back into his belt.
He dragged the guy along with him until he was besides master Kaito, a pained look on his face as he turned to the guard who died. Cole recognized him… he was one of master Kaito’s disciples…. One of his many nephews and nieces, but someone that was like a son to him and an elder brother to Cole.
“Shideo….” Cole called out in a whisper, just as a massive cruiser turned up, guns at the ready with the black and blue logo of the night family emblazoned on it…. the cavalry has arrived.
“Young Master Cole…. I believe the best thing to do would be to hand him over….. We can…..” Cole tuned everything out after that as he pushed his focus to the extreme and grabbed the assault rifle still in his hands and began to shoot.
Yelling out in anger and rage as he turned, making sure to hit every spot he had notice an enemy at, until just 7 of them were left, and all of them behind the man who had been speaking. Cole raised his head to look at the man, who looked right back at him in horror as Cole held the so called young master up, partly sure this freak had a hand in killing his brothers…. And even if he didn’t…. he still was part of the group that killed Shideo…. There will be no mercy. .𝚌o𝚖
Cole took his face, and with a grin that was as fancy as it was manic, he placed it against the open engine vent of cruiser, ignoring the cries of alarm as the cruiser kept its gun focused on what was left. And when all that was left was the smell of crispy burnt skin, Cole dragged the man to the front of his ‘Savior’ and dropped him in between them.
“You people came to kill me today…. You failed. But you killed my friend, not to mention my brothers. So take back a message to you bosses and leaders and tell them I’m coming for them, both in this world and the next should death get me first, but this here is going away present.”
*Bang!*
One bullet to the base of the skull put an end to the pained moans and involuntary twitching, shock all over the faces of the people behind and in front of him as Cole showed ruthlessness unlike anything they had ever seen and he was just a 24 year old kid.
“See you soon.”
