It was crazy really, but somehow the Nijat aliens were really susceptible to mind control, it didn’t matter how many times Cole had used the lesser mind control, he was able to renew the skill over and over again. The only problem however was that he would not be able to maintain his invisibility for quite as long as he wanted to.
It wasn’t too long after they had left the entrance tunnel of the coliseum did he run out of energy. Of course the aliens outside had not been there when he had caused all the mayhem and destruction within the coliseum, and as it stands this was game, and he was in an event within an event, the normal rules of agro wouldn’t count, which was why the very moment his invisibility ended a Nijat cruiser showed up, guns hot and at the ready.
“Fuck!”
Cole cursed softly as he urged the alien still driving to speed up, he was lucky that the lesser mind control skill was not a sustained one. After the initial cost for the skill he did not need to supply any more energy to keep it active, it that were the case then he would be able to use far longer than the ten seconds he currently had.
But regardless he had a massive ship on his ass at the moment. Cole knew that massive ships like this had basic shieling systems, so projectiles like bullets and energy blasts would not be able to get through. But he also knew that shields were quite expensive, in fact the shield tool he had would most probably be the most expensive gear he had out everything he owned.
But larger ones utilized for cruisers like this doesn’t cover every single part of it, there would most definitely be an absence of it over the engine. Shields had the very annoying ability to interfere with energy transmissions for any mechanical device, even some magical devices would be completely unable to handle it.
“You! Unidentified alien! This is he Nijat High Hive Command Captain Mogo’luk’Niki Niki! Surrender your unnatural form for arrest and experimentation, and return to us the prisoners that you have taken, and we shall consider limiting your probing to only 30 times a day from the initial 100.” Cole had his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion as he had no idea where the fuck this bloody conversation was heading to.
He turned to look at the scientist, making sure he got the right person, and frankly speaking it was. But beyond that the change of character was strange, and the fact that they were not blowing him out of the sky made Cole a little bit worried, because he could not for the life of him figure out what the Nijat alien would want with him… but then again, nobody in their right state of mind would surrender to such terms, so it’s either these aliens were really stupid, or Mr. Niki Niki up there was honest to a fault, but none the less Cole had an answer for them.
*Bang!*
*BOOM*
One swift movement, Coe did not even need to aim as his eyes were naturally drawn to the weak point of the cruiser. The ship titled to the side, one of its engines one fire as the blades within it smoked and the scent of rocket grade fuel filled the air. Cole’s eyes widened, as he order the alien to pick up speed, but here was no response as he turned around, only to find the mind controlled alien slumped over the wheel very much dead. Its body quickly vanished after that, leaving behind a prism as Cole quickly scrambled into the driver’s seat from the bed of the truck and floored it.
Idly as he flew away from what was about to be ground zero for a massive explosion, Cole wondered how it is that he knew about ships this much….. And then it clicked. It was the same way he knew how to fly every single vehicle that went up into the air so far. His aeronaut passive skill was really doing wonders, feeding information to him, that he otherwise didn’t know about before.
*Kaboom!*
The cruiser exploded behind him, releasing a shockwave of red energy that began to rapidly spread, swallowing everything in sight, and turning it into charred husks. At the moment he was already flying over the fields in front of the Coliseum, so he quickly pushed the truck up at an incline and at, maximum speed. He told his passengers to hold on as the shockwave drew every closer and Cole gritted his teeth, praying to all the gaming gods that he did not just ruin his own quest by shooting at that engine.
*Skiii-BAM!* b𝚍𝚘𝚟l.nt
The bare edge of the shockwave touched the underside of the truck, causing a small explosion as the engine cut off. Cole blinked his eyes for a few moments more, then cursed as the truck dead in the air began to dip down, and then went crashing down, the space station’s artificial gravity doing its thing as the truck began to dip down. Cole scrambled out of the driver’s seat and went to the bed of the truck where the screaming family were holding themselves and probably waiting for the fiery and explosive crash death…. If that was a thing.
Cole rushed to them and immediately utilized [Gravity] they were all within his sphere of influence so he wrapped it around them and pupped the skill full of energy, pushing it far above its level as a massive migraine seemed to assault hum and what was left of his energy seemed to drain rapidly. He pulled out two of the energy capsules in is inventory and used them, getting a surplus of energy with some of them even escaping into the air. But still it was not enough as that too was rapidly drained away,
Then he pulled every last energy capsule and did the crazy thing of using them all at once. The scientist who saw what Cole was doing couldn’t t help but scream out loud at him.
“What are you doing? Your body can’t handle that much energy! You will explode!” at the back of his mind all Cole said in reply was ‘thanks for the obvious doc’ he knew he was putting himself at risk. But there was nothing he could about their current situation, besides if there was one thing he has noticed about his new race was the fact that the Raen Spawn seemed to have quite a high talent and capacity for energy, he was seriously banking on that.
He channeled every last one of the energy he now had available to his [Gravity] skill. And in doing so was able to push the skill up a couple of ranks. He did the impossible, at least for his current state of power as he created a sustained bubbled of gravity that he wrapped himself and the family, and then he raised it up, going at least two meters high over the truck as it impacted the ground. The truck released an explosion of its own that blasted the bubble of gravity high into the air, causing rippled in it as Cole struggled to maintain it.
The helmet on his suit slid back as his face was exposed, blood pouring out of his eerie blue and yellow eyes, and out his pointed ears, while sharpened fangs poked into his lip, drawing blood as he focused with all of his power, also bleeding from his nose.
He was able to hold on for another five seconds when the bubble collapsed, and they were blasted apart and thrown from 5 meters up in the air to the ground, hitting tarred streets as they had successfully gone past the fields and had come up into the city. Cole hit hard, as opposed to the scientist and his family. His body bounced a couple of times off the pavement as everything he could feel hurt and everything else that he couldn’t feel also hurt.
He took out a healing pill, and used another energy capsule as he was running on empty at the moment. And it was just in time too as he ducked to the side, dodging the massive boot of a Nijat alien coming for his head. Even with all of his body protesting, he rushed forwards using [Spectral Charge] to go through the body of the Nijat alien, and this time he had the foresight to utilize [Sin Eater] in the process, creating an aurora of energy around his body as he dragged every last smidge of energy from within the body of the alien, leaving it a husk.
[Sin Eater Used! +20 to Energy]
He turned around just in time to see that they had landed right where a small squad of Nijat aliens were gathered, about to get into another truck, tough this one was more of a bus, and it was massive, enough that it would hold six 8 foot tall hulking Nijat aliens and their bulky weapons. Cole shook his head as he looked at them, idly locating the scientist and his family as they gathered just a little distance away.
“You know, I just can’t seem to catch a break, at all! It has been on fuck fest to another and all this fuckery has me really fucking exhausted! Now I and that nice family over there will take your truck bus thing, and be on our merry way… of course I’d say you guys should just let us go in peace, but there’s no chance of that happening is there?” Cole asked, and what he got in reply was a wild roar of challenge from the Nijat aliens.
Sigh
“Well I thought so… come on let’s make this quick…. I have dinner with my mother soon.” As soon as he said that, the helmet covered his face once again and his form disappeared…. The only thing that came after…. Was a massacre.
