Chapter 8 – Gathering Evidence (4)

Truth be told, he had seem Ye Zhiqiang at the clubs once or twice. While was normal for a man to have a couple women at the table when they were talking about business, having a lover was a whole different story. And now he had asked for a divorce?

“This is a serious matter and you want to keep it from your family? What is going on?” In theory, Shu Yan should be turning for her own parents and brothers for help. Not only did she not want them to find out, but she sought him out for help?

Shu Yan shook her head and choked back her tears, “Third Brother, don’t you know my parents and my brothers? They can’t find out about this. If they do, they will never let me get a divorce.”

“You want to get a divorce?” Now Shu Jianyang was completely shocked. He looked as Shu Yan with his eyes widened.

He thought she was here to ask him to go and threaten Ye Zhiqiang to end things with his lover and go back to her. Never in a million years would he thought Shu Yan wanted to have a divorce.

“Ye Zhiqiang is forcing me to divorce. He has his mind made. He’s willing to give up his two children for that women, let alone me.” Shu Yan sniffled. “I will divorce, but it will cost him. We can get a divorce, but I want every penny that he’s got.”

Looking at the vicious-looking cousin in front of him, Shu Jianyang gulped. As the saying goes, “the most vicious thing is a woman’s heart.” When a woman has her mind set, why would they even need a man?

“What do you have in mind?”

“Third Brother, you know the PIs that you have seen in Hong Kong movies?” Seeing that Shu Jianyang had nodded, Shu Yan carried on, “I will need a PI to take some pictures for me. The more the better, the more intimate the better. Voice recording would be best. If they can catch them in bed together, that’d be perfect.”

“Ugh….” Shu Jianyang took a sip of the tea and cleared his throat. Seemingly a little bit out of it, he asked, “Anything else?”

“Ye Zhiqiang’s lover is pregnant. Can help me find out which hospital she has been going to? If we can somehow get a copy of her medical report, that would be very helpful as well.”

Shu Jianyang didn’t say a word and Shu Yan was getting anxious. She tried to remain calm appearance as she waited.

After a long while, Shu Jianyang nodded, “Alright, I will take care of that.”

“Thank you, Third Brother,” said Shu Yan as she let out a sigh of relief. She fished out a roll of bills and handed it over to him. “I left in a hurry and didn’t head to the bank. Here’s what I have for now.”

“Take that back,” said Shu Jianyang unhappily, his face dropped.

Shu Yan shook her head, “This is not something Third Brother can do on your own. You are my cousin  and I don’t have to pay you, but you will have to pay your men. Third Brother, there isn’t that much money here. Here, take it. Don’t make it more difficult for me.”

Seeing how determined she was, Shu Jianyang sighed and took the money, “Alright, but this is enough. Don’t pay me more next time.”

Seeing that he had accepted the money, Shu Yan smiled and nodded, “When does Third Brother plan on acting? What do you need me to do?”

“No rush. Let me make some arrangement and I’ll let you know when we catch them in bed together,” snickered Shu Jianyang.
