After an hour,
Blaize dressed in a low-ranking marine uniform, consisting of a white short-sleeved shirt and dark blue trousers stood in the training ground. His shirt was emblazoned with the Marine emblem.
Not just him, every marine trainee— nearly 300—standing in the training ground was decked in the same attire. All of them are new to the training camp like Blaize, picked from various areas of the sea.
Zephyr glanced at them with a stern expression and spoke,
“Let me introduce myself first. I am Zephyr, a former Admiral. I currently serve the marines as Instructor, training new marine recruits like yourself.
The duty of the Marines is to maintain a law and order throughout the world while eliminating any kind of existence that disrupts the peace of the world. In our cases, it’s mostly pirates and some criminals.
Carve my words in your heart, anyone in the world can run facing undefeatable opponents but not us. If you do, countless innocent lives behind you will die.
A marine should never run, regardless of who your opponent is! Understood?”
“Yes!” All the recruits cried in unison.
“The word ‘Justice’ in our back carries more weight than you can imagine. You will understand it in the future as you sail the sea.
Now, let’s start with your training.” Zephyr stated.
The word ‘Justice’ differs from person to person. Blaize has seen various forms of Justice in the One Piece series: Aokiji’s lazy justice, Kizaru’s Unclear Justice, Sakazuki’s Thorough Justice, Fujitora’s Humane Justice, and so on.
As for Blaize, he believes in the strongest Justice. If he’s the strongest, then it doesn’t matter whether he’s right or wrong, what he does becomes justice.
A good example is the World Government. It doesn’t matter what they do, it becomes justice because they are the strongest group in the world.
Just as Zephyr was explaining the training plan and what they have to do daily. A notification sounded in his ear, a new task has been triggered.
When Blaize checked the interface, he was surprised because it wasn’t just one but a series of tasks.
[~ Task 1: Learn Marine’s Rokushiki and become proficient in it.

Reward: 5.0 constitution+ 5.0 Devil Fruit Potential+ 3 Free attribute points. ~]
Seeing this, his eyes widened. ‘Damn the rewards are too good this time but I won’t go bald like Saitama, right? I don’t want to!’
[~ Task 3: Punches and Kicks.

Blaize was happy the system released so many tasks but if he follows the system plan he’d be exhausted to death, every day.
Zephyr explained about various sessions that happen daily from physical exercise, combat training, strategies to General knowledge class.
Blaize didn’t expect these many things to be taught in the training camp. ‘I’m sure the following year is going to be hell for me!’

Next day,
All the marine recruits were called by the Marine officer early morning, even before the Sunrise. None of them complained as they knew the cruelness of the world.
Arriving at the training ground, they were told to run the ‘Kilometer long training ground’ 20 times. Meaning, they have to complete a 20 KM run.
In fact, it’s just a small distance in one piece world but the crux is, they have to finish the run in under 30 minutes. It’s a little tough for ordinary recruits.
Under Zephyr’s watchful eyes, they began the training. Along with the others, Blaize also started to run. At first, everyone was energetic and ran at an even pace.
But gradually the weaker ones start to slow down, while the stronger ones overhauled them and continue to run.
After the 15th round, most of them slowed down and just trotted their way through. Fewer than twenty recruits maintained their speed and ran at the same pace.
Blaize was also in the small group but suddenly his eyes noticed a familiar figure in the group. At first, he couldn’t believe his eyes and he checked again to confirm the person’s identity.
He’s none other than, Vergo. ‘What is he doing here?’
Only then he remembered according to the current timeline, it is indeed accurate. Blaize then tried to remember every detail concerning Vergo.
“Demon Bamboo Vergo” was one of the four elite officers and the first to occupy the Heart seat of the Donquixote Pirates under the codename ‘Corazon’.
‘At age 26, he enlisted in the Marines under Doflamingo’s orders. I didn’t expect he would also enter the training camp.’
One year after becoming a Marine, he asked Sengoku to transfer him to G-5. He then reached the rank of captain by the time Doflamingo took over Dressrosa, and eventually became a vice admiral.
He did all this while keeping his true identity hidden from everyone outside of his affiliates.
‘He’s truly a terrifying person. In the original work, Vergo was in marine for 15 years and without a doubt, he’s very strong.
If I am not wrong, he already knows how to use Haki by now. I thought the training camp will be pretty boring but with him, it’s going to be fun.’
True, Vergo is strong but he’s in Marine training camp, if he reveals the real strength it will blow his cover. It’s his current weakness.
Blaize smirked, ‘He will serve as a good punching bag.’
Then he glanced at other marine officers to find any familiar figures and noticed two — Gion and Shuzo. Both of them looked very young around twenty unlike in the series.
In the Original work, Gion was even considered for the Admiral position while Shuzo was able to easily fight post-time-skip Luffy. Meeting all these characters made Blaize excited.
Suppressing his thoughts, he continued his training. First, he should increase his strength before trying to fight others. Aside from Vergo, he has the confidence to beat other recruits of the same year but it would be a little challenging with his current strength.
After running 20 rounds, they were asked to perform other body training like push-ups, sit-ups, squats, weight lifting, and many more.
By the time they finished the training, breakfast time came. It was the only good thing in the training camp as various kinds of highly nutritious meats were given.
Just eating two large meat pieces Blaize felt the exhaustion from the training fade away and once again re-energizing the physical body.
His physique absorbed the energy from all the food he ate and strengthened his muscles, bones and he even felt the change in his cellular level.
After breakfast, they were once again ordered to arrive at the training ground. The next training session is ‘Combat assessment’.
