Getting past the bubble barrier, Arlong wielded his Kirbachi, a giant black pole with six saw-like teeth.
The sheer size of the sword is quite enough to overwhelm an ordinary opponent. Combined with Arlong’s natural-born strength, the blade can cause massive devastation.
But in front of Blaize, it’s nothing but another weapon.
Swinging his Kiribachi in a frenzied manner, Arlong hacked at Blaize with his full strength. His weapon ripped through the air and appeared before Blaize’s face.
At that moment, Hody and his buddies at the distance were beyond excited by the arrival of Sun Pirates. Besides, Arlong’s action thrilled them to the core.
“Arlong-san is going to kill the human in one blow!” Hody clenched his fist and watched the confrontation with star-filled eyes.
“Yes! Kill that human Arlong-san!” The other brats also cheered but what happened next stunned them.
Blaize effortlessly caught the Kiribachi with his left hand while his right hand grasped Arlong’s neck and lifted him high in the air.
“Crash!”
Exerting a little bit of strength, the Kiribachi he gripped in his left hand shattered into multiple fragments while his right blazed in heat scorching Arlong’s neck.
“I didn’t quite hear your words properly, can you say it again?” Blaize nonchalantly asked.
“Ahhh!” Arlong screamed, feeling the searing pain from his skin while panic flashed his eyes.
No matter how much he tries, he couldn’t muster a tiny bit of strength and a feeling of powerlessness overwhelmed him; like a chicken ready to be slaughtered any minute.
“…that Arlong is defeated without any effort! How powerful is that human?” A fish-men uttered in disbelief.
Not just him, all the Fishmen and Merfolk were shocked by this scene. When Blaize beat Ridge they didn’t feel much as they don’t know much about the latter.
As for Arlong, he’s a kind of boss in the Fishman District with monstrous strength. They couldn’t comprehend the fact he can be defeated.
Even the Sun pirates who were familiar with Arlong were dumbfounded by the unexpected development. They didn’t know what to do and how to respond so they all looked at Jinbei and Fisher Tiger.
“That fool…” Jinbe muttered, “He isn’t an ordinary human for him to eliminate the entire Demonbear pirates!”
Before Fisher Tiger could comment anything, Jinbe too jumped off the ship and dashed towards Arlong.
“No way! Arlong-san would never lose to the humans.” Hody gritted his teeth in exasperation.
“Gion, you go and get Ridge and Glave. Don’t forget to bind them with a seastone cuff.” Blaize said while Gion acknowledged.
“Human, release him!” At that moment, Jinbe charged at him at full speed and punched from a fair distance.
The force of the blow transmitted a powerful wave through the water vapor in the air to release a shock wave.
“Fish-Man Karate…” Blaize smirked and threw a punch of his own. Like Jinbe, a powerful heat air burst from his fist propelling forward.
“Boom!” Both their forces collided in mid-air producing a powerful explosion that sent an oppressive force in all directions alarming everyone.
Tossing the wasted Arlong to a side, he faced Jinbe with a solemn face.
Truth be told, he wasn’t confident of handling Jinbe who can fight Portgas D. Ace on equal terms, despite Ace possessing Logia powers.
Though Jinbe of now isn’t as strong and hasn’t learned Haki yet as he saw in the series, his proficiency in Fish-man Karate is enough to overwhelm Blaize.
Blaize wasn’t arrogant enough to think he can fight such a person on equal ground and win.
Jinbe and Blaize stood face to face, looking intently at each other ready to fight any moment. Jinbe’s surprised by Blaize’s strength and his young age but that’s all.
Facing Jinbe, Blaize was pressured a little but he won’t back off. His heart won’t allow him. In fact, he’s excited to fight such a strong opponent.
A vigorous fighting spirit burst out of him spreading in all directions. Blaize’s entire being heated up while flames surged out of his body, entwining his arms.
Blaize’s sudden change and tyrannical power stunned Jinbe and Fisher Tiger as they know what it entails.
Perceiving his intent, Jinbe also took a fighting stance ready to face the latter but he was stopped by Fisher Tiger who appeared next to him.
“Stop it, Jinbe. His heart holds no prejudice against us, I can feel it. Besides, he defeated the pirates and protected the Fish-man District. We should be thankful to him.”
“Boss…” Jinbe looked at Tiger and eventually listened to his words.
“Oh…You are Fisher Tiger, hero of slaves, the one who challenged Mary Geoise and burned the entire city down to free all the slaves.” Blaize spoke.
Hearing this, Fisher Tiger squinted his eyes while Blaize continued. “You did what countless people couldn’t dare to think, I admire your courage for that.”
Blaize’s words stunned him a little as no human had ever praised him for that. “Who are you?”
“I am a Marine trainee. We have a lot of time, we will meet in the future. But the next time we meet, we will be enemies.
Be prepared to face me, I will come looking for you, the sun pirates, soon.” Blaize smiled.
“Come on, Gion, we are leaving!”
He didn’t care what the Fisher Tiger thinks in his heart, he simply turned and nonchalantly left the area carrying Ridge on his shoulder while Gion carried Glave. None stopped him, they don’t dare to.
As soon as Blaize vanished from their view, he grinned from ear to ear. He thought in his heart, ‘I left saying some cool words and didn’t know whether my words impressed Jinbe and Fisher Tiger.’
“Blaize-kun, why are you laughing foolishly?” Gion asked.
“Nothing!”
