Admiral Sengoku Office, Marineford.
As Sengoku instructed, Blaize and Gion returned to Marineford not further continuing their hunting mission.
It’s just Sengoku didn’t expect Blaize would really destroy Demonbear pirates and capture Ridge and Glave whose combined bounty reached 230 Million berries.
Ridge and Glave were directly sent to impel down to spend their remaining lifetime.
“You don’t have to continue the hunting mission, I think it’s meaningless for you. Let’s wait for the other recruits to complete the task before deciding your ranks.” Sengoku stated after careful thought.
He knew Blaize’s strength reached a standard where such a low-level test holds no meaning.
“Oh yes! Garp wants to see you, you can meet him in his office. Don’t learn the bad things from him!” Sengoku sternly spoke. “Gion, you stay!”
Blaize gave Sengoku a respectful salute and left the office without glancing at Gion.
As soon as Blaize left the room, Sengoku reclined in his seat and gazed at Gion. “Take a seat, Gion, and tell me what happened.”
“Yes!” Perching opposite of Admiral Sengoku, Gion took a deep breath and recounted the things that happened on the trip.
From their journey to Fishman Island, meeting King and Queen, destroying the Demonbear Pirates, encountering Fishman pirates, and lastly Shyarly’s prediction.
Hearing everything, Sengoku contemplated for a minute and spoke: “You were beside Blaize the entire time, tell me your honest view and what do you think of him?”
“He’s ridiculously strong and a person with a clear sense of goal. He follows his heart and won’t listen to orders that are against his conscience.” Gion replied.
“Did you take note of any weakness?” Sengoku asked again while this time, Gion hesitated to reply.
“Gion, I know this may seem like I sent you to spy on Blaize but please trust me I am doing this for his good.
You know what happened at the sabaody. If Fleet Admiral Kong hadn’t stepped in, the World Government would have already ordered to eliminate him.
Nobody can walk free offending a celestial dragon. I am trying to understand him so that it won’t happen again in the future.” Sengoku patiently explained.
Firming her heart, Gion spoke. “He’s extremely repulsive towards slavery and has a soft spot for slaves. I think it’s because of his past.”
Sengoku nodded his head in understanding while Gion continued.
“Even underwater he can fight with his full strength, it’s just he can’t use his devil fruit powers. Besides, his devil fruit ability is weird.
When I first met him, his devil fruit ability isn’t very strong but now, I can’t tell the extent of its ability as if his fruit ability improves with him.” Gion told everything she knows.
She felt guilty in her heart and knew she betrayed Blaize by breaking the trust he had in her.
Sengoku sighed since he didn’t get any useful information, “Is that all?”
“Yes!”
“OK! You can go now. Tsuru specifically asked me to place you in her unit. Are you fine with it?”
“Yes.” Agreeing with the decision, Gion rose from her seat to leave but stopped in her track and spoke, “Sengoku-san, I want to add something about Blaize!”
“Go on.”
“I told you a shark-mermaid predicted Blaize’s death, I don’t know whether it’s true or not…” Gion spoke.
“It should be true. I have a report and evidence of what she predicted till now had come true.” Sengoku interrupted her and said.
“Blaize also firmly believed her prediction, meaning he knew about her ability. Even so, he didn’t even flinch when he heard about his death.
He isn’t the least bit afraid of his death. Nothing could hold a person like him, even if he had countless weaknesses.”
Saying this, Gion left the room without looking back. Hearing her words and seeing her expression, Sengoku rubbed his temples in helplessness.
He could tell Gion was upset by doing this but he had no choice to send her. According to the report, she’s the only one who’s slightly close to Blaize.
Just as Gion got out of the office, she was stunned to see Blaize waiting outside. She stuttered, “I…”
“Don’t worry about it. As a disciplined Marine, you can’t disobey a higher rank officer’s order.” Blaize nonchalantly spoke as if he didn’t care.
“You know?” Gion asked.
Blaize shrugged, “I guessed. When Sengoku-san told you to follow me, I know he had something in his mind.” Hearing this, Gion smiled bitterly.
“Ahh! I am feeling hungry. I am going for a meal, wanna come?” Blaize called but Gion politely declined.
“Ok then!” Blaize left the place. As for Gion, she clenched her fists and held the tears back.
‘Why did I do that? Did I do the right thing?’ She felt disappointed in herself and questioned her own actions.
At first, she didn’t think much when Sengoku told her to watch and report his actions but after following Blaize she had a change of heart.
Anyway, she can’t reverse what she had done. She knew Blaize was displeased, she saw it in his eyes. Their friendship won’t be the same anymore.

As for Blaize, he didn’t go and meet Garp. He made his way to a restaurant located near and ordered a bottle of wine and meat.
Pouring a mouthful of wine, Blaize reminisced the things that transpired after he transmigrated into the One Piece world.
He doesn’t blame Gion as she’s still a young woman; inexperienced and naive. Even so, he felt disheartened a little as he’s also a human being with emotions.
‘Hai!’ Gulping the entire bottle, Blaize smiled thinking about Shyarly’s prediction, and felt invigorated.
‘Getting stronger is the only way I can change my fate. I can’t let my heart be affected by small things.’
Thinking through, Blaize went to meet Garp in his office. Without bothering to knock, he made his way in. Just like he imagined, Garp was napping sitting behind the desk with his mouth open and snoring aloud.
It didn’t take long for him to wake up and see Blaize sitting opposite him with a smile plastered on his face.
“Vice-Admiral Garp! As the ‘Hero of the marine’, you are the admiration for countless young marines like me, you should be the role model for all of us, not the other way around.”
“You cheeky brat, when did you come back?” Garp asked, yawning.
“Just now,”
“I heard you were after the Demonbear pirates, what happened?”
Blaize smirked and replied, “Since I great Blaize took the job, do you think they can escape from me? I sent them to Impel Down.”
“Looks like your strength had improved.”
“A little. Sengoku-san said you called me, what is it?”
