Undying Warlord Novel

Chapter 664 Talk the talk

While Ariel was not sure how to respond to Victoria’s speech, Dilan just walked into the room at the side of the hallway.

Nobody blocked him, and he couldn’t help but sigh deeply.

“In the end, you won’t be able to do anything if you’re too weak. We were unlucky that the Primordial races chose to change the date of the Fourth Awakening. If you want to blame anyone for anything that happened, just blame me for killing my father, after all, that’s the reason why the Primordial races chose to interfere in the Primordial Ascension.

But if you don’t want to blame me, blame the Primordial races, or the Universe for being so unjust. By now, you should understand that there is not only black and white in this world…the world is just a huge gray zone with some darker areas and some lighter areas…

Victoria…I understand your pain…but it’s not like we’re better than them, and we need their help…”

With that, Dilan opened the door to the huge living room that was also often used to educate the apocalypse babies. Their knowledge about the apocalypse was vast, including how to fight, what abilities to bind, and how to use the system, but they still had to be taught how to read, write and the history of their world, or what it had once been.

That way, they hoped that the apocalypse babies wouldn’t think that their life was only filled with death, destruction, and war, but that there could also be something else, something to fight for!

“Please enter, Ariel. Take a seat wherever you want,” Dilan said monotonously, ignoring the attention he received not only from Ariel Silvertale but also from the others. Siegfried stared at him with a widened open mouth, impressed by his uncle’s words and actions.

“…’We’…I think you should rather say that everyone needs help…except you…” Williams murmured with a deep sigh, clenching his fists tightly.

During the last few months, it became more and more obvious that Dilan’s strength had increased by leaps and bounds. He was bound to become a Demi God in no time and many wondered what kind of powerhouses he would be able to defeat by then.

The Undying Group… was Dilan’s biggest weakness…and it was a weakness that could be exploited until the very end, whatever that may be.

In fact, Williams and the others could clearly sense that Dilan’s strength had increased manyfold and by looking at the silver ring on his finger, it was quite easy to deduce that Dilan had gotten his hands on the Divine Relict.

As for the ‘Deal’ he made with the Essence Angels, it had been created for solely one purpose; to make sure that the Undying group and everyone important to Dilan would be safe.

It was easy to tell that Dilan could defeat his opponents as long as he was given enough time and opportunities. He might die thousands of times but he would come out victorious in the end.

But that changed when the Undying Group’s safety was suddenly questioned.

“If we weren’t that weak, you wouldn’t ha–….” Williams said while looking up, just to see that Dilan had appeared next to him.

Dilan put Williams in a headlock and used some force to make sure that his friend was suffering a little bit.

“If you can still spout nonsense, you can also fight and become stronger. Once you guys are strong enough, there is no need for anyone to be worried about anything, right?” Dilan said while continuing to torment Williams, who was tapping his arm several times.

But who said that Dilan would allow Williams to surrender?

Without mercy, Dilan kept Willians in the tight headlock for a few more seconds before he let go of his friend.

“Don’t bother about anything useless and keep your focus straight, otherwise, you might end up in my headlock again!”

After Dilan said that he looked over to Ariel, who had yet to move. She looked at him and he returned her gaze.

“It would be nice if you could enter the coordinates, or the position of the locations you mentioned earlier. The Queen’s Image will move the flying island to these places and pick the best one for our use,” He said while motioning the Image to give Ariel permission to access the map function of the flying island.

“Why are you calling the Princess of Haven by her name?” The Image suddenly asked as she followed the instructions.

The Queen of Immortality was known for her curiosity, so it was no surprise that her Images would be the same.

“She is an old acquaintance…or is she a friend?” Dilan was not sure and he looked at Ariel, who looked up from the holographic screen of Camsun’s known map.

“Let’s go with friends, that makes it less complicated…” He added and Ariel SIlvertale lowered her head once again, acting like she didn’t hear anything.

“Friend?!”

When they heard that Dilan was Ariel Silvertale’s friend, almost everyone shouted out loud. They stared at Dilan as if he had a few loose screws. The gazes of his sisters, Rory, Yvonne, Kathrine, and especially Victoria were even worse.

They knew all of Dilan’s friends and someone like an Archangel was definitely not on that list…

What the hell was Dilan blabbering…’Old Acquaintance’…

Everyone stared holes in his body as if they would receive answers just by looking at him.

However, Dilan could only smile lightly and led the way for Ariel Silvertale.

“I will explain everything later. But for now…hate me, or whoever, and become stronger…and give the other two Lesser God Archangels permission to enter the flying island without attacking them. They’re not that easy to kill, unfortunately…”

Ariel looked at Dilan when he uttered the last word but he wasn’t fazed by that. He led her inside the room while the others were left behind.

Even the Queen’s Image wasn’t allowed to enter the room.

“I have cameras and microphones installed. Should we eavesdrop on them?” The Queen’s Image asked, causing everyone’s tension to disperse into thin air as they stared blankly at the boldness of the Image.

“Cheeky Girl~”

“Why is everyone laughing?” She asked, tilting her head. She was just curious how Dilan and Ariel were connected, and what questions a knowledgeable Lesser God could ask from a mere mortal, though Dilan was everything but a mere mortal…

However, nobody was supposed to find out the exact content of Ariel Silvertale’s questions.

Several hours passed by before Dilan emerged from the room.

He saw that everyone had been waiting and that the tension in the room was at its peak once again.

But that was to be expected, after all, Tenur and Ilia were seated on two chairs next to the wall on Dilan’s left.

“I thought you guys were a little bit more intelligent. Your Boss was hurt because you stupidly charged to the flying island,” Dilan merely commented when he noticed that they were staring at him.

They jumped up from their chairs, breaking them in the process before charging inside the room.

“Don’t be too surprised about your Boss’ appearance. She is just a little bit overwhelmed,” Dilan added, which intrigued the others, including the Queen’s Image.

“What did you tell her?” She asked, but Dilan just shrugged his shoulders.

“…Everything!”
