Dilan recalled something particular Ariel Silvertale mentioned during their honest chat. Or, at least, he was honest when they chatted. He was not exactly sure whether everything Ariel had said was the truth.
But that didn’t really matter because it would be more than enough if even half of it had been the truth.
<<I’ve already heard about Veils in the past, a long time ago. In fact, there was even news about cracks in the Void at the outskirts of the known Universe. To think that they might not be black holes or space distortions, but Veils…if the prophecy is about to come, the first Veils should be about to emerge…to think that we’re witnessing a Veil outbreak in the near future…is that a sign?>>
Dilan didn’t understand the meaning behind everything Ariel had said at that time, but he understood everything of importance.
There were some cracks in the Void, somewhere far away, and these cracks might turn into Veils.
That showed quite clearly how much time they had left. Thus, Dilan ended up retrieving the Tier-6 Essence Crystal of the Sun God and the Sun Divinity.
The Sun Divinity increased the temperature in its surrounding by several dozen degrees. Because of that, it was necessary for Dilan to leave the flying island as quickly as possible.
If she wanted to coax him into helping them once they needed help, he might as well exploit their help to the fullest!
While Dilan left the flying island, numerous confused, angry, and perplexed humans and monsters were left behind. They were thankful for Dilan’s help but some didn’t want to rely on their enemy’s lenience to survive.
Their pride didn’t allow them to accept that they actually needed the protection of the Angel’s Haven Alliance to survive in Camsun. With Dilan by their side, they felt powerful enough to defeat everyone.
Unfortunately, the reality was different because Dilan was only one person…a mortal at that. His physical strength might rival a Demi God’s stats by now but that didn’t mean he could kill three power Lesser Gods while making sure that everyone on the flying island was safe and sound.
But that was not how it worked!
For some, it was hard to understand that it was actually their weakness that held Dilan back. However, for those who understood this very well, it was even worse. They felt terrible knowing that Dilan couldn’t go all out and do whatever he wanted because a part of his subconscious would always worry about the Undying Group.
The Undying Group would have to grow strong enough for Dilan to be able to freely move around and eliminate all kinds of threats that appeared in his path.
Unfortunately, that was easier said than done. Thus, Dilan had decided to do exactly what Ariel Silvertale was hoping for, something that would turn him into the target of hatred in the eyes of many members of the Undying Group.
He would disappear for a few days, possibly a little bit longer…before turning into the Hellhound of the Angel’s Haven Alliance, not literally, of course.
Dilan didn’t think it through yet but he was in need of more strength. The easiest way to become stronger was to kill others and absorb Essence Crystals.
Covering his face and turning into a bloody slaughterer of the Angel’s Haven Alliance would be quite suitable, especially since it was not necessary for him to actually do whatever they said. Dilan would just kill whoever Lesser God was not up to the standard.
He would eliminate the annoying bastards and leave the nicest Lesser Gods alive.
It might be necessary to become strong as quickly as possible, but Dilan wanted to make sure that the Universe was as strong as possible as well. If he could clear up the battlefield by eliminating a few threats it would be possible for kinder Lesser Gods to become stronger and possibly become useful to prevent the prophecy from coming true.
Dilan had a few plans in mind to make use of his strength and to clear the Veils once they would crack open. Unfortunately, he needed to advance much faster to utilize his plans.
And that was what he was using the Sun God’s Essence Crystal and the Sun Divinity!
Dilan entered one of the Gates that were labeled as unusable. Inside the Gate, he found himself surrounded by darkness. It looked like there was nothing but darkness and the Gate that could bring him back to the Shikan plains.
“So that’s what they call a Prison Gate? Let’s claim the Gate quickly to make sure that nobody from outside can close it…” Dilan mumbled toward himself as he accessed the Gate.
He claimed it and changed a few settings to make sure that nobody could enter the Gate. Afterward, he sat down on the ground, put the Sun Divinity next to him, and he absorbed the Sun God’s Essence Crystal.
The moment he willed the Essence inside the Sun God to enter his body, his skin burst open. The brute force of the unleashed Essence was too much for a mortal to handle but Dilan was different.
With the True Undying Essence activated and the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique exerted, there was no reason for him to be worried about losing precious Essence.
Every little bit of essence that entered his body was imprisoned inside him and devoured. The True Undying Essence repaired his body the instant he was injured. This turned his body into a perfect prison while the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique calmed the vigorous and raging Essence of the Sun God’s Essence Crystal.
It was calmed, devoured, and led to his Essence Crystal.
His Essence Crystal was slowly being filled.
‘So much…’ Dilan was astonished as more and more essence flooded inside his body that began to tremor wildly
