James had told him that he was probably going to get attacked that night, but that since he was a tier 2 he would definitely be able to handle them.
But nonetheless, Noah was still surprised to find that they were right on time.
Six men stood a few meters before him, each covering their faces with a dark piece of cloth with only their eyes visible, coupled with the darkness of the night, there was no way he could see their faces.
“You have crossed paths with a young man with too much power than he deserves, now face the consequences”.
The man at the forefront of the group said in a deep voice, he was probably the leader.
Immediately the man ended his words, the remaining five cast spells that charged at him.
Noah didn’t have time to check their levels but from the aura they released they were all tier 1.
Noah cast ‘Energy armour ‘, a ash coloured magic circle appeared beneath him, then thin tendrils of electricity shot out, to wrap around his body, then they turned invisible, only a dull halo could be seen around him
Three azure Spears made of condensed water, one orange ball of fire and a spike made of earth charged at him.
With his armour ready, Noah tanked the spells.
BOOOOMM!
An explosion resounded, it lit up the environment, due to the collusion of elements, launching debris into the air and destroying part of the walls of the alley, bringing a cloud of mist and dust into the air due to the vaporised water.
The attack could have killed anyone who was a tier 1, or injured someone who was in the lower stage of tier 2, but Noah didn’t even move from his position.
Immediately the attack ended, a shadow shot out of the cloud of dusty mist, Noah had decided not to use the speed force, but he was still incredibly fast.
He had formed two ‘Energy Blades’ around his hands. Arriving in front the first person, Noah came to quick halt, using his past momentum, Noah slashed at the man’s waist, separating it from his legs.
Before the body could hit the ground, Noah stored it in his inventory. He wasn’t going to leave any proof.
Turning to the next person , Noah could still see the bad intents in his eyes, Slashing at the man’s neck, Noah beheaded him, then stored the body immediately.
At this time it had only been two seconds since the attack ended.
Rushing to the third person Noah lunged his right hand at the man, the energy blade pierced the man’s chest killing him on the spot, storing the body immediately, Noah twisted his hips and pivoted his feets, spinning and slashing downwards at the leader, Noah split the man’s body in two equal halves, then stored the corpse, going on to the next person.
He repeated the same until he was the only one left in the alley. Only about seven seconds had passed since the combined attack, and there was no one left.
Heaving a deep sigh at what just happened, Noah knew it wasn’t his fault, if he had been any weaker they would have succeeded in killing him, that was him protecting his life, so his killing them was justified.
Dispersing the energy blades and deactivating the Energy armour, Noah glanced at the notifications that popped up, he had not gained any level so he simply closed the panel.
Walking out of the alley, Noah sprinted away, he didn’t use the speed force in case there was someone watching.
Coming to a stop in a new street where the hotel he was going to was. Noah looked around to make sure no one saw him, then he turned around and walked away.

A few seconds before Noah left the alley, the figure of a woman could be seen sitting on a four storey building directly in front of the alley where the fight took place.
“He survived!” the woman shouted,
“This means I will have to finish the job” she said standing up, ‘He must be a tier 2 to have come out unscathed’ she thought to herself.
But immediately she stood up Noah basically disappeared from her sight,
“FAST!!” she exclamained inspecting the streets frantically, to see if he stopped anywhere nearby. Not finding him, she stomped the roof floor beneath her, hard enough for it to cave in.
“Damnit!, I will have to report this to Lord Milo, we have a problem in our hands” She said frowning deeply and jumping off the building.

Arriving at the said hotel, Noah stood in front of two story building, that had orange light bulbs at the entrance, making the two guards that stood at the entrance visible in the darkness of the night.
‘Is this place really cheap?” Noah thought to himself sceptically.
He had asked James for somewhere that wasn’t too expensive, and the guy had directed him to this place, but now Noah wasn’t so sure anymore.
Walking up to the entrance, one of the guards, a burly man who radiated peak tier 1 power, asked, “Your ID” he said with an outstretched hand ,while looking at Noah sceptically.
Retrieving his ID from his inventory, Noah watched as the man’s eyebrow arched in surprise. Returning Noah’s ID, the man looked at Noah with a new light.
“You may enter” he said opening the door.
Upon entering, Noah held his breath due the pungent smell of dried vomit, that filled the whole room.
In front of him, was what one would call a rowdy bar, there were round tables with men sitting around it, cups of beer occupying the table, while chattering and laughter filled the room.
Shaking off the urge to puke, Noah walked towards the bar table, he had to dodge someone who was about to throw up.
Walking faster, Noah got to the bar table, the bartender was a man in his fifties, he looked at Noah, a tinge of surprise appearing on his face, though just for a second, before asking, “What may I get for you” he said with a welcoming smile.
Ignoring the sound of puking men Noah answered, “I want a room for the night”, Noah answered hastily, he didn’t want to stay down there any longer. 𝗼𝘃𝗹.𝗼𝐫𝗴
“That will cost 15 small copper coins” The man answered resisting the urge to laugh at Noah’s irritated face.
Bringing out his bag of coins, Noah hastily removed two medium sized copper coins, and gave it to the man, who raised an eyebrow at size of Noah’s purse.
Giving Noah his 5 small copper coins change and the key to room 32, he tried to describe the direction, but Noah had already run off.
Getting to the stairs, away from the noise and puking, Noah calmed himself down, he was used to seeing the dead bodies of magical beasts and somewhat of humans, but he couldn’t stand the smell of puke, “Pathetic” he muttered to himself climbing the stairs and getting to the hall that had the rooms.
He had to go up another floor before he could find the room that was his.
And upon getting inside, the interior left him dumbfounded to say the least.
“I asked for a cheap place ,but this… this is overkill”, Noah said to himself staring at the room.
The room was lit with a yellow Mana bulb, though it was incredibly low in brightness, and would flicker off and on once in a while,
There was a bed, if one could call it that, the bedstand looked as though it could break at anytime. There was a blanket though it looked old, or like it hadn’t been washed. ‘ is this even clean!? ‘ Noah exclamained in his mind, while touching the blanket.
The floor wasn’t rugged, just the bare wood that had holes in it, “Is this even safe?” Noah said to himself with bewilderment ozzing our of his voice.
He could take a fall from that height but that would be very inconvenient, no one would like to find themselves falling right after waking up.
The place smelled dusty, opening the window and curtains, Noah breathed in fresh air, looking at the building next to the hotel, Noah looked through a particular window of the building and saw something he shouldn’t have.
If you know what I mean(a—?__a—?)
“Cough”
Closing the curtains immediately, Noah put off his shirt and lay on the uncomfortable bed.
Memories of the recent fight played out in his mind, it took him a while ,but eventually his conciousness drifted into the darkness called sleep.
