Chapter 447 - Inseparable Even When Passed Out

Chapter 447 – Inseparable Even When Passed Out

His grandson was no longer gasping for air as the Huishe half breed was handing him medicine for the burns on his throat. This picture was completely unexpected. The supposed enemy had dumbfounded him and his relative betrayed him.

His expression unpleasant he emerged from the water. Panting heavily he silently stared at his brother’s back his malicious thoughts seeping out of his body. This killing intent though faint was still noticed by Qilin San but it didn’t even faze him.

He equated Qilin Yanjing’s anger to the time he confiscated his sword when they were cubs just because he liked it. Back then Qilin Yanjing couldn’t stand up for himself nor could he stand up for himself now.

“Jing dage, don’t you just stand there. Your family’s cub is in the enemy’s hands. You should save him,” he said with a sly grin that sent shivers down Qilin Yanjing’s body with the air of defiance around him vanishing abruptly.

Hearing this Ji Yao clenched his fist as a dark aura emerged from his body. He glared at Qilin Yanjing menacingly his eyes glowing in a faint blue and red light. It was a simple warning. If he dared attack Rui Fei he will disregard everything and tear him to pieces right here right now.

Qilin Yanjing who harboured no such designs suddenly saw a shadow of Qilin San in Ji Yao jolting his heart. His face ashen he shifted towards Tong Tong and urged him to come over but how could it be that simple.

Tong Tong who had witnessed everything and almost died wouldn’t move an inch no matter what. Even he knew he was much safer in Rui Fei’s presence than he was with his supposed grandfather. He truly missed Huishe Yue.

They might have treated him well because they thought they were related by blood but that love and care was genuine. Grandpa Yue would have done everything in his power to protect him. Sensing his grand son’s rejection Qilin Yanjing didn’t force it.

He had clearly misunderstood something and if he forced Tong Tong to come over to his side then he would only strain their relationship further. His hands that were about to reach out curled into fists with his head lowered.

Seeing this Qilin San couldn’t help but snort coldly. “Pathetic,” he said before he waved his hand and sharp needles struck Ji Yao and Rui Fei simultaneously. Ji Yao who hadn’t had such a poison in his bloodstream instantly passed out with his body simply falling from the sky.

“Ji Yao!!” yelled Rui Fei as he leapt forward to catch Ji Yao and pull him into his arms. Because he endured years of torment under latrion his body resisted the agonizing pain seeping into his aetherial veins towards his aether.

The veins on his temples and neck were bulging his skin flushed from the pain. But despite knowing how excruciating it would be to use his seraphic energy he engaged his aether intending to finish off Qilin San.

Gritting his teeth with his entire body screaming in pain he engaged his aether but as his seraphic energy shot through with great difficulty Qilin San fired another round of needles.

Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t fast enough to stop Rui Fei’s attack. As Rui Fei tightly embraced Ji Yao with their bodies falling from the skies a dark fog brimming with extensive power struck Qilin San corroding part of his aetherial veins.

In a moment of panic Tong Tong rushed over to help them but before he could grab hold of them his body was suddenly lifted from behind in a grip so tight that it was painful. No matter how he fought Qilin Yanjing didn’t intend to let him go.

With a loud splash, the two fell into the water causing massive hysteria on the ship. Big Hei instinctively jumped into the water but before he could hit the surface his body was flung back onto the ship when his chest was struck by a long stream of fire.

His body tumbled to the ground with his hand clutching his burnt chest. Though in pain he shuffled up to his feet only for him to fall to the ground again as Xunshi Zhe blocked a flame attack intended for the big guy.

With the powerful flames colliding with his battle-axe Xunshi Zhe muttered, “Can, can you get up? I can’t hold on….. for long.” Big Hei was about to get up but the end result was that Xunshi Zhe fell on top of him and the two came crashing down with a loud bang.

That’s because the force from the flames intensified pushing them to the ground. Before they could even get up Qilin San spoke, “Don’t waste your time with insignificant people. Fish them out….. I need them alive.”

The Qilin that was schooling Big Hei and Xunshi Zhe stopped his ceaseless assault before settings a temporary shield around Red Valkyrie preventing any of the crew members from disembarking.

He then proceeded to heat up the surface of the water with flames a thousand times hotter than that of a blow torch creating a dip in the sea. Soon two passed out people surfaced baffling this Qilin so much that he rubbed his eyes.

Why was he baffled? It was because despite falling into the sea and being buried in tonnes of salty water the pair were still embracing each other like they were reluctant to part even when they are unconscious. It was like a much less shitty ending than that of the titanic.

Did Jack really have to freeze to death? Couldn’t two people fit on that floating piece of wood? Why not die together in the name of love? Unlike Jack and Rose, this pair was inseparable at the bottom of the sea clinging to each other as though afraid to be apart.

Curious, he used his seraphic energy trying to separate them and for a second it worked. They seemed to be some distance between. Though small, it was something but soon a force began to pull them back together and when he looked closely he saw a string between the two that was bringing them back together.

“Um… clan leader should I separate them?” he asked pointing at the two stuck to each other like glue. Even the gorilla glue girl’s hair wasn’t as stuck to her scalp as these two.

Qilin San glanced at the pair and sighed. He didn’t know what that string was but it was indeed problematic. It meant he couldn’t control one by using the other because they wouldn’t be separate from each other.

What he didn’t know was that after being apart from Ji Yao once Rui Fei would never have that happen to him again. After years of Innovation and development the ultimate love string that couldn’t be broken no matter what came to fruition.. He designed it in Niuq just for this precise moment.
