Chapter 452 - Captain Ji's Constant Misfiring

Chapter 452 – Captain Ji’s Constant Misfiring

Instead of Ji Wen responding it was a familiar voice from the cloud of dust that spoke first, “Hehe misfiring everywhere Ahahaha, Captain is that, is that what your wife says in bed? Hahaha… Ow. Fuck!” There is no need to even figure out who said that.

Who else could it be other than Zhang Li? It’s a good thing Lady Ching Sei was there to keep him in check otherwise he would have got his ass kicked. This is the type of shit that would get one slapped in public like Chris Rock at the Oscars. You talk crap about someone’s wife and you get smacked.

But before Ji Wen could deliver his punishment Lady Ching Sei had already taken care of it on his behalf. “Keep talking shit and I will evict you from my ship,” she whispered while her ribbons shot out into the thick fog grasping a person before pulling them towards her.

Zhang Li slashed the man’s neck with sharp blades of air and the body fell with a thud. “I will keep my mouth shut I promise. Just don’t kick me out, okay? I will lick your peach like last time,” he pled looking like he would be homeless if she kicks him out.

Ji Wen who had been listening in on their conversation almost gagged at their words. He was about to cuss them out when he felt something within the cloud of dust. It was something powerful, something familiar but from what he can remember he had crippled this half Nocru after he tried to challenge him for territories and routes at sea.

But there was no need to even challenge him because in every right the waters belonged to him thus he crushed his enemy like the bug be was.

But who would have thought this bug would be directly recruited by Qilin San and come back for revenge. With his eyes closed, he listened to the residual sparks of lightning within the dusty skies trying to locate this phantom’s whereabouts.

His mind suddenly became still with a rarely seen serene look on his face as his curly red hair flowed with the wind. Two seconds later his eyes opened suddenly with a sharp blue glint.

As he swung his sabre a rush of fierce lightning sparks covered his blade and he directed them at a particular spot within the dense fog.

Splat!

A shower of green blood splattered everywhere as a giant insect looking body fell at Ji Wen’s feet. Lan Wu, who was splashed by that disgusting fluid on his hand shook it off while saying, “It can’t be him, right? His ability never reached this far before.”

Zhang Li who had shielded his woman from getting blood splatter all over her smiled proudly as he said, “That is if he didn’t get into that Qilin’s bed. I heard the incentives he offered were pretty tempting.”

“Are you planning on jumping ship because if you are then I might as well kill you right now,” said Lady Ching Sei her ribbons dancing dangerously around Zhang Li.

“Wuwuwu save me boss Ji, she is a black widow,” he fake wailed while taking a step back. Normally he liked it when Lady Ching Sei’s ribbons caressed his skin but now he was so terrified he wanted to run into the thick fog.

“Shh….,” said Ji Wen and everyone immediately went on high alert. This half Nocru could turn small critters into big animals which was a huge problem for them, especially under their current conditions. This meant they had no idea what would crawl out of that dense thickness.

Half a minute later a loud chirping sound filled the air and large claw-like legs struck the ground further raising the dust leaving pits as deep as six feet. “Shit! Is that a cicada?!” exclaimed Zhang Li as he fell over from the explosive impact.

“He is probably going to make more of them. Everyone spread out!” yelled Ji Yao as he dodged the claws randomly stabbing the ground for an easy meal. As expected three or four more cries were heard but they weren’t necessarily from cicadas but other insects that had also gained the height advantage.

“Boss Ji roast them from the sky otherwise we are insect food,” yelled Zhanglang. Even his Fenrir bloodline couldn’t save him from this.

“Take cover!” yelled Ji Wen but before he could summon a lightning storm his body was suddenly grasped by a giant insect and swooped up to the sky.

At that moment chaos descended upon them as they fought against these ferocious creatures that were a far outcry from their cute forms when small. Lan Wu had it worse than all the others because he had attracted the attention of a ladybug.

Maybe it was because it could smell his sweet scent that it locked on to him and began to chase him. Struggling to fend it off he decided to lead it to the shores and drown it. The only thing he had to do was fly there fast enough.

But this ladybug was acting like it had been injected with chicken blood. About to catch up it raised its tarsal claw before stabbing straight down. With a loud boom, it stabbed at its prey only to raise its tarsal claw again and find nothing.

Frustrated it made a panicked vibratory sound while searching around. The person it was looking for was currently being hugged from behind by Huishe Yue with their bodies high up in the sky.

Huishe Yue tightened his grasp on Lan Wu’s waist as he stared at him intently while saying, “I left you for less than an hour and you already attracted unwanted attention, huh?”

Lan Wu felt his entire face heat up as he averted his gaze shying away. “Your parents will see,” he whispered but Huishe Yue just chuckled before yelling,

“Duck!” to the crew within the fog. Soon ferocious streams of flames seeped from his body before rushing into the clouds roasting insects for lunch.

While this was happening he asked Lan Wu, “Cool, right?”

“Yes very,” replied Lan Wu raising his hands to cover his flushed face that was as red as a ripe tomato.

Seeing this shy appearance Huishe Yue’s heart itched. Without much thought, he kissed Lan Wu’s ear unaware that his parents had seen it all. That conversation was bound to be interesting.

Meanwhile, Qilin San had brought that annoying pair of love birds to the highest point of the imperial palace. It was a platform he had personally raised from the ground so he could look over this city. From his angle, things weren’t exactly favourable towards him and his clan. These half breeds he had recruited using the promise of wealth were no match for the Nocru clans but he already knew this. He intended to delay time before throwing his ace on the table.. That ace was currently flirting with that Huishe bastard like they weren’t in the middle of a conflict.
