They actually had a bakery that was rather large when Soo Yin’s mother was still alive. Before finally, Kim Nam married a woman who turned out to be a spy of his bakery’s rival.
The woman stole the secret recipe for the bread belonging to the Soo Yin family and mixed their bread with drugs, resulting in a stomach ache.
Because of that, no more customers came, and they went out of business.
Unknown to them, the woman also borrowed money from Mr Jang with their assets as collateral and then fled.
“Dad, never mind. I’ll find a job as soon as possible so we can build another bakery,” said Soo Yin with a cheerful smile.
“Thank you, Soo Yin. Father is very lucky to have you,” said Kim Nam.
While chatting, Dae Hyun suddenly came. Soo Yin didn’t expect that man to go back to the hospital.
“Good evening, sorry I just came back to see you,” said Dae Hyun.
“Sid, sorry to trouble you,” said Kim Nam.
“It’s okay, Uncle,” said Dae Hyun.
“Mr Dae Hyun, thank you for helping us and bothering you.” Kim Nam said while trying to raise his body.
“You better lie down,” said Dae Hyun.
“I am really grateful to you for helping my family,” said Kim Nam.
“You’re welcome, Mr Kim. I just accidentally passed by,” said Dae Hyun.
Soo Yin chose to leave the room while they were chatting. She headed for the administration section to pay the hospital bill.
When she saw the bill, Soo Yin was a little shocked because it turned out…this hospital fee was costly and drained her savings.
Soo Yin walked along the hospital corridor languidly. When she came back, it turned out that Dae Hyun was not there.
“That guy is gone, huh,” said Soo Yin while looking around the room.
“Soo Yin, I have something to talk to you about daddy.” Kim Nam took a deep breath.
“What’s wrong?” asked Soo Yin while frowning.
“Soo Yin, you must marry Mr Dae Hyun. He has helped us a lot,” said Kim Nam to his only child.
“What?” Soo Yin exclaimed. She was still trying to digest her father’s words.
“I’m sorry,” said Kim Nam, holding his daughter’s hand.
Soo Yin ran out of the room. She really didn’t understand why her life was always like this. She ran to the back of the hospital building, then sat down on the bench there.
“Dad must be joking. There is no way my father will tell me to marry a man I don’t love”, Soo Yin said faintly while wiping the tears rolling down her cheeks.
When her heart had calmed down, Soo Yin returned to the room. There were several doctors and nurses there.
Soo Yin immediately ran towards them. It turned out that her father was in bad condition.
“Dad, wake up!” Soo Yin shouted when she saw Kim Nam close his eyes.
“Forgive your father, who always bothers you,” said Kim Nam as he slowly opened his eyes.
“Don’t leave me! I want to stay with you,” said Soo Yin while shaking his father’s body.
Kim Nam had a heart problem and required surgery. Soo Yin sat down. She didn’t know who to ask for help. Her relatives were far away, out of the town.
Soo Yin was forced to contact Dae Hyun and wanted to marry him as long as her father got better.
After the surgery went well, Soo Yin and Dae Hyun gave their wedding vows. Soo Yin’s father was still being treated, so they got married at the hospital.
Dae Hyun’s family didn’t come.
The day after getting married, Dae Hyun bought the house where Soo Yin would live. They both moved there. When Dae Hyun washed up himself, Soo Yin accidentally found Dae Hyun’s wedding photo with a woman.
Soo Yin was furious at Dae Hyun, feeling that the man lied to her. She chose to leave Dae Hyun’s house and rent a house elsewhere.
She tried to apply for jobs in various places but never got them until she signed up to work at a hotel which turned out to be Dae Hyun’s.
