Chapter 35 Blame yourself for it!

Chapter 35 Blame yourself for it!

Song Hu’s stubborn fa?ade crumbled as he quickly gave in to Zhang Wei’s demands.

He frantically signaled to his goons to toss their weapons aside and retreat, their eyes darting around nervously.

The red scorpion gang members, however, seemed reluctant to follow their boss’s orders.

They exchanged disapproving glances and muttered under their breath before begrudgingly stepping back.

Zhang Wei, a master of reading people, couldn’t help but notice Song Hu’s lack of true authority.

There was a subtle shift in his demeanor that betrayed his tenuous hold over the red scorpion gang.

As he studied Song Hu’s demeanor, he felt a gnawing suspicion that there was someone else behind the scenes pulling the strings.

It didn’t take long for him to conclude that the true mastermind behind the red scorpion gang was none other than the head honcho of the Song family.

Song Hu’s voice trembled with fear as he spoke up. “Release her now, Zhang Wei,” he demanded, his heart racing as he faced his predator. He never thought he would become the prey.

Zhang Wei’s lips twisted into a sly smile. “Tsk-tsk, not so fast,” he replied, relishing in the fear he saw in Song Hu’s eyes. “Let’s release her as well.”

He signaled towards Yu Lei, who was bound to a chair with ropes.

Song Hu clicked his tongue in annoyance and he freed Yu Lei, his hands shaking with adrenaline.

As Yu Lei stood up, she turned to face Zhang Wei, her eyes betraying her fear and uncertainty.

She knew they were in a dangerous situation.

“We’ll release them both at the same time!” Song Hu bellowed, his voice ringing out loud and clear, determined to show Zhang Wei that he wasn’t backing down.

He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he braced himself for whatever was coming next.

Zhang Wei pretended to hesitate for a moment before nodding his head. 𝒪𝑽𝓵xt.𝒸𝔬𝑀

He released the little girl’s neck and leaned in to whisper into her ear, “When I count to three, start walking towards your father.” The little girl nodded, tears still streaming down her face as she prepared to make her escape.

“Good,” Zhang Wei said, his mind wandering to his own rebellious Nizi waiting for him at home, compared to Feng Xinyue he found Song Roulan was much more obedient.

He gave the same instructions to Song Hu and began the countdown.

“On the count of three, you both start walking towards your sides,” Zhang Wei said, his voice steady and controlled.

He could feel the tension in the air as the hostages prepared to make their escape.

“Three…”

“Two..”

“One…”

“Go!” he exclaimed, signaling the start of the escape.

The captives from both sides immediately began to walk towards their respective sides, their hearts pounding with the hope of survival.

The little girl stumbled but quickly regained her footing, running towards her father’s side with all the strength she could muster.

As Yu Lei passed right next to Song Ruolan, Zhang Wei’s voice boomed through the warehouse.

“Run!” he shouted, his eyes wide.

Yu Lei was confused and disoriented, but her body reacted instinctively.

She sprinted as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest.

She had covered quite a bit of ground when suddenly, she tripped and fell, her body tumbling to the ground.

On the other side of the room, Song Hu was in a state of panic. He shouted frantically at Song Ruolan, “Run towards me!” He didn’t know what was happening, but he could sense the tension in the air.

Boooom!

Suddenly, there was an ear-splitting boom that echoed through the entire warehouse.

Song Ruolan’s body exploded into a million pieces, sending chunks of flesh flying in every direction.

The shockwave traveled through the room, creating a deafening blast that reverberated through the walls.

The members of the red scorpion gang were initially stunned, their faces twisted in horror as they watched the grisly scene unfold before them. But as the pieces of flesh rained down on them, their disgust quickly turned to revulsion.

They frantically wiped the gory remains off their bodies, their minds reeling from the shock of what they had just witnessed.

Song Hu stared at the thick cloud of smoke that hung in the air, his mind reeling with disbelief. He was oblivious to the pieces of flesh that had splattered onto his face and clothes. “R-Ruo?” he uttered in a trembling voice, his body shaking with fear and shock.

He felt an overwhelming sense of despair wash over him, and his knees buckled under the weight of it all. He collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.

Zhang Wei stood there, a sly smile playing at the corners of his lips.

He was pleased with how things had turned out.

He could have killed Song Hu directly, but that wouldn’t have been as satisfying as watching him suffer.

“You can only blame yourself for it, Song Hu,” With a nonchalant air, he sprinkled salt into the wound, enjoying the sight of Song Hu writhing in agony.

Yu Lei felt a warm, sticky substance splatter onto her back and face, jolting her out of her shock-induced stupor.

She turned around to see a thick layer of smoke where Song Ruolan had stood just moments before.

Her eyes widened in horror as she realized what had caused the deafening explosion.

“T-This?” she muttered to herself, struggling to come to terms with the reality of the situation.

Despite the fear and uncertainty that threatened to consume her, Yu Lei summoned her courage and slowly made her way towards Zhang Wei.

Her legs were trembling and her heart was racing, but she refused to back down.

She stood behind him, staring at the empty space where Song Ruolan had been.

She was lost in thought, unsure of what to do next. So she stood there silently, waiting for the next move.

The smoke slowly cleared, revealing the small, mutilated foot of a little girl.

As Yu Lei’s gaze followed the trail of destruction, her heart sank as she saw the lifeless remains of Song Hu’s daughter, her upper body completely obliterated in the explosion.

[… You have some twisted and gruesome thoughts, Host,] the system commented, its voice tinged with disgust.

Zhang Wei’s smile faltered as he realized the true horror of what he had done.

The realization that an innocent child had been caught in the crossfire of his machinations sent a chill down his spine.

But he knew it was too late to turn back now… not like he did not enjoy it.

Song Hu’s eyes widened in disbelief and horror at the sight of his daughter’s lifeless body.

He fell to his knees, his body wracked with sobs as he cradled her broken form in his arms.

Zhang Wei watched with a cold detachment, knowing that he had succeeded in causing the ultimate pain and despair.

This was his plan all along – to make Song Hu feel the helplessness and despair that he had felt when his own daughter was taken from him.

And as he watched the broken man before him, Zhang Wei felt a twisted sense of satisfaction, knowing that his revenge was complete.

[Villain Points +10]

[Villain Points +10]

[Villain Points +30]

Zhang Wei raised an eyebrow.

Even after doing so much, he only received the same amount of villain points as when he blackmailed Rong Meili?

Wasn’t that unfair?

Shouldn’t he just go around blackmailing women to farm points?

Zhang Wei knew he still needed to figure out how the points system worked.

In reality, the point system worked normally.

For blackmailing or raping mortals with no cultivation, Zhang Wei would only receive 10 points.

He received an additional 40 points from Rong Meili due to another reason he was unaware of.

The system assigned points for the entire course of action in advance, just like how it gave him another 30 points for the future where he would clean up the mess and kill Song Hu.

The first 10 points were for killing Song Royan, while another 10 were for doing so in front of his wife, exposing his evil side without caring for her opinion.

The remaining 30 points were for cleaning up the entire scene.

Song Hu’s eyes turned bloodshot after a while, he turned to look at Zhang Wei with vicious glare, “Kill him!” his voice trembled, but the goons that have been waiting till now suddenly started grinning as if got the opportunity.

A sudden tug on Zhang Wei’s sleeve jolted him out of his thoughts, and he spun around to see Yu Lei gesturing frantically towards the exit.

The urgency in her eyes was palpable – if they didn’t make a break for it now, they were as good as dead.

But Zhang Wei isn’t going to be the one running for his life today.

He grinned, admiring her spunk, but he had a different plan in mind.

With a sense of boldness that surprised everyone around him, he stepped forward and stretched his arms out in front of him.
