Reincarnated as a Dog with System Novel

Chapter 67 - The Doggo Jewel Thief

Qin Hua bobbed her head up and down to Lu Chen but she didn’t try to explain anything beyond that.

It was simply too difficult and she had other things to take care of before they left this area.

She dove into a nearby shadow and ran into the mall again.

Now that her Inspect skill was upgraded, she wanted to take another trip around and see if she could find anything else valuable.

The supermarket was already emptied out. She went to the cloth store and saw that none of the clothes had any special attributes.

Now only the jewelry store was left. Though she had already visited this, she didn’t inspect the items properly last time around.

So she decided to take one last lap to check out the jewelry store before turning back.

She didn’t expect to find anything there as well because she didn’t smell anything out of ordinary, but to her surprise that was not the case.

<Ding. Diamond. Low-grade shard of Agility>

<Ding. Jade. Low-grade shard of Vitality>

<Ding. Emerald. Low-grade shard of Intelligence>

<Ding. Sapphire; Low-grade shard of Wisdom>

<Ding. Ruby. Low-grade shard of mana recovery>

<Ding. Amethyst. Low-grade shard of mana recovery>

[What the…] Qin Hua was completely dumbfounded. It looked like every gem had some sort of special property.

And since these were not exactly related to mana density, she hadn’t been able to sniff them out.

[Phew! Good thing I decided to check it out, otherwise I would have missed everything. Woof!]

Qin Hua looked around in a daze and started pocketing everything she could find, this time not even leaving a single piece of jewelry behind.

The precious minerals had hidden properties, the animals had mutated, humans had evolved, so were soil and water now also different?

What about the plants?

She decided to inspect more things after heading out to gain a better understanding of everything.

The world that they knew of had changed completely and the new world needed to be analyzed all over again from top to bottom.

Just as she was about to leave the store after wiping it clean, Qin Hua suddenly heard a faint buzzing noise near her.

A very bad feeling enveloped her and not knowing what was happening, she dove into a nearby shadow immediately.

Even she was surprised at her own reaction speed because she had done it as if she was born with this ability.

Was it because she was now extremely fluent with the skill after having moved through the shadows so many times? Or was it because her affinity with the darkness had increased?

Qin Hua did not have time to think about this and she quickly peeked here and there to see what the buzzing noise was about.

A couple of seconds later, she sighed in relief after seeing that it was only a small mosquito.

It didn’t look like it had mutated as it was still the normal size and hadn’t fattened up or developed horns or something like that.

Qin Hua wouldn’t even have noticed it if not for the fact that she had heightened senses and perception.

[Heh! This small bugger managed to scare me so much?! What a shame! Woof. Woof]

She shook her head and was just about to step out of the shadow when she coincidentally decided to inspect the mosquito on a whim for leveling her Inspect skill further.

<Ding. Venomous Vampiric Mosquito; Level 15>

<Ding. A mutated version of common mosquito; Has an insatiable fondness of blood; Poisons the victim and drains all the blood from the target>

[Huh? Ehhh? Since when were mosquitoes poisonous? What the heck is with this description?]

Qin Hua’s black furry body stopped halfway and then ducked back into the shadows hiding for her life.

She was wrong! This guy had indeed mutated, just not the way she had expected it to!

She also had no idea about the potency of its poison but she didn’t want to test it out on her own body.

In reality, irrespective of the potency of this poison, she was sure that the magic system’s health potions would be able to take care of it, but there was a problem with that logic.

The damned health potions were insanely expensive!

Qin Hua eyed the little guy cautiously, following the mosquito’s movements as it buzzed around here and there, probably searching for her.

And when it was at the right angle, she leaped out of the shadow she was hiding in and then swiped the little mosquito without holding back.

This guy had to be one-shotted! There was o doubt about it!

And thankfully, nothing else about the mosquito was noteworthy and the chap fell down limp not even able to withstand the single hit.

<Ding. 1 Level 15 Venomous Vampiric Mosquito killed>

<500 Experience points have been rewarded>

[Oh! That’s a lot of experience points! He he he. Though too bad only one mosquito is there!]

Qin Hua ignored the mosquito’s corpse as there wasn’t much meat in a mosquito to begin with and it was also poisonous.

She then quickly ran to the third floor and the fourth floor of the mall and emptied out all the jewelry stores. She even emptied out a luxury watch store, taking all the gem-studded watches with her.

After that, there was nothing else in the mall that caught her interest, so she returned back to the group.

Everyone was still resting as it had only been a few minutes since she had left.

And surprisingly, Qiang had already stitched the first shirt that sort of looked like a crop top.

It was not like he knew the dimensions of the dog. So he made it sleeveless and loose-fitting.

Qin Hua looked at it with satisfaction. It seemed like the guy was quite adept with his stitching technique. [Inspect. Woof!]

<Ding. Patched Linen Shirt – Normal-grade Armor>

<Durability – 20/25>

<Physical Defense – 25>

<Magic Defense – 25>

[Oh! So the effects improved after stitching a bunch of these together? Not bad. Woof.]
