The Wife of Hades Novel

Chapter 13 - A Passionate Kiss

However, the next second, she lifted both arms up and clapped them together.

“You’re so cool!”

Mo Yelin blinked his eyes a few times in surprise, not sure that he had heard correctly.

“If he is an evil person, then he deserves to be destroyed. In the fairytales, all the bad guys are killed by the princess and the prince.”

Mo Yelin looked at the young little girl talking about her fantasies. Usually, he would be annoyed and think the little girls were dumb and stupid, but right now, he couldn’t help but smile as he listened to her talk about how he was really cool and why he did the right thing.

A few minutes later, the teacher came out to call the kids back in since it was time for lunch time, and the two of them walked in together. . . hand in hand.

Li Yixin was 4 years old while Mo Yelin was 8 already, which was considered quite old for the adoption center. As they walked in, the other girls and boys all glared at them, each of them with different emotions, mostly jealousy and annoyance.

The two of them, who had both eaten lunch alone in the corners of the room in the past, sat together this time.

Little Yixin, who loved to eat meat, had more on her plate today because her new friend “didn’t like meat” and gave his portion to her as well.

After –

— Present

“How are you so handsome?”

Mo Han was immediately pulled back from his memories by the voice. He looked down and it took a second before he remembered where he was and what he was doing.

An Luxia had woken up, and his eyes were half-open as she stared up at him with a small smile on her face.

She had asked him. . . how is he so handsome?

A small smile appeared on his face, but before he allowed it to enlarge, he suddenly leaned forward, moving his hand up to the back of her head.

The next second, An Luxia’s lips had been sealed by his, and he closed his eyes, avoiding the surprise written all over her face.

It took a few seconds before An Luxia finally relaxed a little and she began returning the kiss. The seconds went by as the kiss lasted much longer than both of them had planned.

Mo Han rested his elbow onto the bed and leaned his entire body forward, allowing his body to rest right on top of her as he continued to push deeper with the kiss.

Unconsciously, his hand began moving down her waist, and when he did so, she suddenly flinched and pulled away, her eyes wide with surprise and nervousness.

It took a moment before he realized what he had done, and he gulped in both embarrassment and excitement.

An Luxia’s face was burning red by now as she looked away, “I. . . I’m hungry.”

Mo Han leaned back slightly, sitting back up straight, “It isn’t dinner time yet.”

There were a few seconds of silence before An Luxia looked up and smiled, “That’s okay! I’ll cook something for you.”

She rolled around and got out of the bed, standing up excitedly to go cook and also get out of this awkward situation.

“You’ll cook something for me?” Mo Han raised one eyebrow, “You know how to cook?”

An Luxia shot him a glance, “Of course! My parents own a cake shop. I know how to bake and cook. You made a good decision for your mouth and stomach in marrying me.”

Mo Han licked his lips with a smile as he followed her out of the room.

“Where is the kitchen?”

“I’ll go with you.” He walked in front of her and they made several turns before stopping in front of another door.

“Your house is too big! How do you not get lost?” They walked in, revealing a gigantic kitchen with no one inside.

“We can move to my other house that we were in yesterday if you want. That one is smaller.”

“It’s okay.” An Luxia immediately made her way to the fridge and opened it to find it filled with ingredients of all sorts.

She took out two eggs and then turned around to see that he was still standing inside the kitchen. He glanced at him and then walked over, opened the door, and pushed him out.

Then, she shot him a smile and waved goodbye, “I’ll tell you when I’m finished.”

Then, she shut him out of his own kitchen.

Mo Han blinked a few times in surprise before he chuckled softly, turned around, and left to go do some more work in his office.

About an hour later, there was a quick knock on the door before An Luxia walked in, holding a plate in her hands.

At once, the pleasant smell entered the room.

Mo Han looked up from behind his computer screen and he quickly closed the laptop before standing up from his chair, removing his glasses.

“What did you make?” He leaned forward against the table curiously.

An Luxia smiled sweetly as she held up the plate, which had a slice of strawberry cream cake on it, “I baked a cake!”

She walked over to him and pointed at the strawberry, “Let me tell you, the strawberry cake in my parent’s cake shop is super famous! It is the best cake around, and I used the same recipe. Try it.”

She used the fork to cut a small portion of the cake and lifted it up to his mouth, “Ah!”

Mo Han raised one eyebrow as he looked at the cake and then at her. She pushed the cake closer to his lips and he finally opened his mouth, allowing her to feed him.

He did not remember the last time he had been fed. Unlike parents, the people at the adoption centers obviously didn’t feed the kids. It was a little. . . unusual to have the food coming from someone else’s hand.

However, his thoughts disappeared the moment the cake entered his mouth.

This taste. .. .
