He looked over at An Luxia and smirked, “If you win, I will leave this room and apologize. If I win, you will leave and give me this room. . . and An Luxia.”
An Luxia immediately jumped up from the couch in anger. What type of trade was this?! If Mo Han wins, then nothing happens and they just get the room that they originally had in the first place.
However, if he wins, then he gets the room and. . . her?!
“Lu Xiamo, I am married! Stop being so shameless!”
Lu Xiamo shrugged and turned to look at Mo Han, “Mr. Mo, what do you say? Are you still up for the competition. . . or are you too scared?”
Mo Han chuckled, “Scared? Of course not. What about the competition rules?”
“Mo Han!” An Luxia screamed angrily. Was their relationship really worth a stupid competition?! Can’t he treat their marriage a little more seriously?!
Mo Han turned to look at her, his expression softeningly. He smiled at her and winked quickly before turning back around.
The worker brought the new firearm back in, handing it to Lu Xiamo.
“Competition rules. . .” Lu Xiamo smiled, “2 rounds, 10 shots each. 10 with eyes open, and 10 blindfolded. Can you do that?”
Mo Han grinned, “Of course. Anything Mr. Lu says.”
Lu Xiamo smiled, thinking that this dumb Mo Han was looking for death, “Then let’s get started.”
An Luxia clenched her fists together tightly, not sure why she was this afraid and angry. Was she angry about Lu Xiamo’s unfair terms?
Or was she angry that he wasn’t taking this relationship seriously by easily agreeing to a bet that put their marriage in jeopardy?
Was she afraid that he would lose? Or was she afraid that he would lose and their relationship might have to end because of a stupid deal? Or both?
She angrily sat down, crossing her legs together as he watched Mo Han grab the gun. Next to him, Lu Xiamo put on his headphones before grabbing onto his gun as well.
He scoffed as he looked at Mo Han, “Mr. Mo, I want a fair competition so I will kindly remind you that you are supposed to wear headphones when you shoot.”
His friends behind him laughed, a few of them saying, “How dare that guy compete against brother Xiamo! He doesn’t even know how to shoot properly?! Hahaha!”
Mo Han grinned, “Thank you Mr. Lu for your kind reminder, but I won’t need headphones.”
He grabbed the headphones and walked over to An Luxia, gently placing it onto her lap. He smiled at her, receiving an angry glare back, before walking back over to his shooting area.
The scoreboards were also raised up, both lines showing 0 at the moment.
“Mr. Lu, ladi -” Mo Han cleared his throat, “you can go first.”
Lu Xiamo’s face darkened, obviously figuring out what he was about to say. Ladies first?! Lu Xiamo suppressed his anger, thinking that he would be able to get it all back after he won the competition.
Mo Han would regret all of this!
He turned to face the target, confidently raising his gun. The room immediately fell silent as all eyes turned to look at the target. After several seconds, there were 10 consecutive bangs as 10 shots were fired.
An Luxia felt as if her heartbeat with each shot, and after Lu Xiamo finished, she immediately jumped up, rushing over to take a look at the scoreboard.
Although she knew that even if Lu Xiamo won and Mo Han had to agree to the original deal, she would never agree to be with Lu Xiamo, she still didn’t want to leave Mo Han! She also didn’t want Lu Xiamo o w n!
After several seconds, a bright red number appeared on the screen: 99.
An Luxia gasped in surprise, wondering how it was possible to shoot so stably for 10 straight shots! 99! Mo Han would have to get a 100 to win this round!
An Luxia took a deep breath and marched back to the couch frustratingly, sitting down. Please, please please! An Luxia clasped her hands together as she prayed internally. Please help Mo Han win!
Lu Xiamo looked at the number and smirked, smiling as he removed his headphones and placed his gun down. Mo Han also took a quick glance at the number and grinned before getting into position, lifting the gun up.
An Luxia instinctively leaned forward to get a closer look, her legs pressed tightly together to stop them from shaking.
She flinched when there were suddenly ten consecutive bangs as the bullets shot out one by one, hitting the target.
After 10 shots, Mo Han stayed in that position for a while longer before slowly lowering his arm. Then, he placed the gun down and without even looking at the scoreboard, he walked over to An Luxia, sitting down next to her.
“Baby, I’m thirsty,” he said, tugging at her sleeve.
An Luxia looked at the water bottle next to her and crossed her arms together, “Get the water yourself.”
She lifted her chin up and looked away, still angry that Mo Han agreed to that stupid deal.
Mo Han grinned and reached over, resting his hand on her lap. An Luxia’s eyes widened when she felt the weight press down onto her thighs, and she silently mouthed the words, ‘so shameless’, as he grabbed the water bottle and took a sip.
“You -” An Luxia opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the sudden shout that came from Lu Xiamo’s friends.
“How is that possible?! Is that accurate?!”
An Luxia looked up and saw Lu Xiamo’s friends all staring at the scoreboard in shock. In front of them, Lu Xiamo’s face was also as pale as a sheet of paper as he stared at the red number that had just appeared.
An Luxia stood up, walking over to get a look herself.
Similar to Lu Xiamo’s reaction, her mouth also fell open when she saw the two-digit number:
’99’
