The Wife of Hades Novel

Chapter 31 - Pure Luck?

Similar to Lu Xiamo’s reaction, her mouth also fell open when she saw the two-digit number:

’99’

An Luxia turned around to look at Mo Han, unsure of whether she should be surprised that he got such a high score, or if she should be surprised that he didn’t get 100.

Mo Han grinned as he stood up, “So this round is a tie, right?”

Lu Xiamo glared at him before he slowly nodded his head, “There still is another round.”

Mo Han looked over at An Luxia and smiled before walking over and picking up the gun again.

Lu Xiamo went first again. The worker handed him a blindfold and he confidently put it on, thinking that there was no way Mo Han could still win when he couldn’t see.

After the blindfold was completely pressed against his eyes, he lifted his gun up, pointing it at the target. Once again, 10 shots were fired.

He took off the blindfold with a confident smile and looked at the scoreboard.

’96’

His friends jumped up in happiness and success, since it was very hard to even get in the 90s with a blindfold on. Even if Mo Han was lucky and was able to shoot a 99 in the first round, there was no way he would be able to still be lucky while blindfolded.

Mo Han didn’t even look at the number as he reached for his blindfold. He grabbed it and turned to look at An Luxia, lifting one hand up and using two fingers to beckon her over.

An Luxia glared at him before standing up and walking over, “What?”

Mo Han lifted her hand up, placing the black blindfold onto her palm, “I can’t tie this. Help me.”

An Luxia raised one eyebrow and looked up at him, obviously not believing that he couldn’t tie a blindfold himself. However, thinking that Lu Xiamo and his friends were still here, she couldn’t have Mo Han or her lose face, so she took the blindfold from him and turned him around.

Mo Han smiled and obediently turned around, widening his legs so An Luxia would be able to reach her head.

An Luxia lifted her heels off the ground and carefully tied the blindfold tightly. When she was finished, Mo Han walked over to the target area, somehow knowing where to stand.

He picked up the gun and lifted it up quickly. Without even taking time to adjust, he immediately pulled the trigger 10 times, and the banging sound echoed inside the room.

Lu Xiamo scoffed and his friends also laughed, “There is no way he could beat brother Xiamo.”

“He doesn’t even know how to take time to adjust and get ready. Ch!”

Lu Xiamo walked over to An Luxia with his arms crossed, taking his time as he swung his hips side to side arrogantly, “An Luxia, look at that weakling you found. Did he bring you here? He doesn’t even know how to properly shoot himself, and he dares to bring you here to show off?”

Lu Xiamo scoffed and lifted his arm up, preparing to place it onto An Luxia’s shoulder, “If you really want to learn, you can always come and find m -”

Right before his hand landed on An Luxia’s shoulder, Mo Han suddenly appeared, his hand grabbing onto Lu Xiamo’s wrist.

“Mr. Lu, please move away from my wife.”

An Luxia felt her heartbeat speed up slightly as she looked over at Mo Han, lowering her hand that was prepared to slap Lu Xiamo away.

Lu Xiamo smirked, “Mo Han, you are a man. You have to learn to keep your promise. You agreed to the deal, so leave the room now. I hope that you will also divorce An Luxia soon.”

Mo Han grinned, tightening the grip on Lu Xiamo’s wrist, causing him to hiss in pain, “Mr. Lu is right. It is important to keep your promise. You agreed to the deal, so I am ready to hear your apology.”

Lu Xiamo furrowed his eyebrows together, “Apology? Why should I apologize? I won.”

Mo Han smirked, “Check again, Mr. Lu.”

He let go of Lu Xiamo’s wrist and walked over to An Luxia, pulling out a handkerchief and quickly wiping his hand before wrapping his arm around An Luxia’s waist.

An Luxia also leaned forward slightly to take a look at the number on the screen.

The number was already shown on the large scoreboard. On the third row in bright red, there was a three-digit number.

‘100’

“What the -” At once, gasps filled the room as they turned to look at the number they originally didn’t care about. Lu Xiamo’s mouth fell open, making him look quite dumb although he already appeared very stupid.

An Luxia was equally surprised, and she whipped her head around, staring at Mo Han in disbelief, “100?!”

Mo Han grinned and raised one eyebrow up, his facial expression saying, ‘Why are you so surprised? You should know that your husband is amazing!’

He then turned to look at Lu Xiamo, “Mr. Lu, are you still thinking about how you will phrase your apology?”

Lu Xiamo clenched his fists together, staring at the screen, still unable to believe it.

“There must be a mistake! How can that be possible?! Even the world champion can’t do that unless he gets lucky!”

Mo Han grinned and walked over slowly, his leather shoes tapping against the hard floor. Lu Xiamo took a step back in what seemed to be fear, but Mo Han walked straight past him.

Mo Han walked back over to the shooting area, picking up the gun. He turned his body around, so his hand was reaching behind him in a straight line.

Then, there were 10 bangs again, causing Lu Xiamo to jump.

After he was finished, he dropped the gun coolly and turned around, not even looking back. A few seconds later, a new number appeared on the screen.

‘100’

“Is this still luck, Mr. Lu?”

Lu Xiamo stared at the number for a very long time, almost as if he couldn’t believe his own eyes, “Who are you?!” He finally asked softly.

Mo Han grinned, “An Luxia’s husband.”

Hearing this, An Luxia felt her face turn slightly red as she wrapped her hand around Mo Han’s arm sweetly.

“So, what about your promised apology? Mr.. Lu, it is not good to break your promise.”
