The Wife of Hades Novel

Chapter 6 - Actually Married

An Luxia smirked, “Uncle and Auntie Lu, not to be disrespectful. . . but I think both of you know perfectly well why your son has been single all this time.”

At once, there were several gasps inside the room and a small smile from Mo Han.

“An Luxia! You – you!” Lu Xiamo pointed one shaky and thick finger at An Luxia, who rolled her eyes. It was obvious! Who would want to marry, or even date Lu Xiamo?! To add on to all of his horrible traits, he also had a nasty temper! She prayed for whoever ended up with Lu Xiamo.

An Luxia put on a pitiful expression and sighed, “I’m sorry, but I have a husband already. And. . . he is more handsome, kind, gentle, considerate, and richer than you!”

Mo Han looked down at the floor and licked his lips to hide the happy smile on his face after hearing An Luxia say that.

An Ping cleared his throat and looked at his daughter a little helplessly, “Luxia!”

He spoke in a tone that was supposed to be warningly, but An Luxia could tell that her dad wasn’t actually mad at her.

“I’m sorry, Auntie and Uncle Lu, but I can’t be considerate when it comes to my marriage. I want to marry the man I love, and no one can make me marry anyone I don’t want to, even if there was an. . . agreement.”

Lu Xiamo had never been humiliated like this ever in his entire life, and he angrily stomped one foot on the floor, causing the teacups on the table to shake slightly, “An Luxia, you will regret your decision!”

Then, he ran out of the house, making sounds that almost seemed like he was crying, which only disgusted An Luxia more.

Lu Xiamo’s parents called after him and glared at An Luxia once more before also running out after their baby son.

Once they were gone, the room was finally silent again.

“Xiaxia!” An Luxia’s mom frowned at her and pointed one finger at her but didn’t scold her any further than that.

An Luxia playfully stuck her tongue out and wrapped her arm around Mo Han again.

“Xiaxia, who is this?” An Ping, An Luxia’s dad, walked over and stood next to his wife as they eyed Mo Han suspiciously.

An Luxia cleared her throat and straightened her back slightly, “This is Mo Han, my husband.”

Both An Ping and Qi Lanyu’s faces paled slightly as they looked at each other worriedly, “You two are really married?”

“Of course, mom! The document and picture can’t be faked!” An Luxia smiled brightly as she held up the little red booklet again.

Qi Lanyu took the booklet over and opened it up, looking it over closely with An Ping, both with shock written all over their faces.

After they had carefully looked through it for a long time, Qi Lanyu licked his lips and looked up at Mo Han once again, her eyes traveling up and down him.

He was very good looking. . . Qi Lanyu furrowed her eyebrows together, unsure of whether that was a good thing or not. Handsome guys weren’t always so trustworthy!

He was also very tall, much taller than Xiaxia. . . That was a good thing when it came to genes.

And he looked pretty decent in that suit. . . But who knew what was behind that neat suit?

Mo Han did not move or get uncomfortable in the slightest from Qi Lanyu’s inspection, and instead, he grinned and said shamelessly, “Mom, dad.”

This time, even An Luxia was surprised as her eyes shot up. They had just met and he was calling them mom and dad already?!

An Luxia awkwardly chuckled and softly pinched Mo Han’s arm, but he did not seem to care.

Qi Lanyu and An Ping exchanged a glance before Qi Lanyu walked over to An Luxia and smiled, “Xiaxia, come with me. I have something to talk to you about quickly.”

An Luxia obediently followed her mom over and out of the living room, around the hallway to where her dad’s private office downstairs was.

She looked back quickly before turning the corner to see her dad glaring at Mo Han quite unpleasantly.

“Xiaxia, when did you meet that Mo Han guy?” Qi Lanyu asked in a soft but urgent tone.

An Luxia gulped before saying, “A few days ago.”

Of course she couldn’t say yesterday! That would make it even worse.

“A few days ago?! And you two are married already?!” Qi Lanyu’s mouth fell open in shock.

“Xiaxia, I know you don’t want to marry Lu Xiamo. Don’t worry, mom and dad will figure out a way and push them off. You don’t have to marry some random guy, Xiaxia! That’s so not safe!”

Although Qi Lanyu and An Ping were both very worried about their little daughter since she was still single and didn’t seem to have plans of getting into a relationship anytime soon, they were still shocked that she suddenly got married so quickly.

That was so unsafe, especially in a world like today!

An Luxia held onto her mom’s hands and smiled, “Don’t worry, mom. I won’t treat my marriage as a joke. I am very serious.”

And she was.

As a very professional face dog, An Luxia felt that she was very lucky and she was very pleased to get married to such a handsome man.

Plus, he did not seem too bad. . . right?

Qi Lanyu sighed as she knew about her daughter’s number one requirement for a relationship. Just from looking at that man’s face, she knew that her stupid daughter must have fallen in love with his face!

Qi Lanyu sighed and gently poked her daughter on the head before walking back towards the living room, “Since you two are here, let’s eat lunch together.”

“Okay!”

They walked back to the living room to see An Ping and Mo Han both sitting on the couch. An Ping had his arms crossed and he was glaring at Mo Han with a very suspicious expression.

Meanwhile, Mo Han looked straight ahead, seated with a great posture and straight expression.

Qi Lanyu cleared her throat and walked over to her husband, “Since Xiaxia brought her. . . guest over today, we should hurry and make lunch, right? We can eat lunch together.”

She quickly pulled An Ping up from the couch and dragged him over to the kitchen, closing the door so they could start cooking.

However, once they went inside, Qi Lanyu pulled out her phone and made a call.
