Azrael stabbed down, only to receive a barrage of shots to the chest. Cole watched as the laser fire tore through the figure of Azrael, shadowy smoke drifting from his body as he faded away and his voice was heard from all over again.
“I thought by this point, you would have gotten a little wiser. You’re still underestimating me.”
“Arghhhhhhhhh!!” Cole cried out in pain as a shadow pool appeared underneath him and the massive jaws of a shadow skeleton closed down around his body as it pressed down hard in an attempt to cut Cole in half and start chewing.
The pain was on a different kind of level than what Cole was used to. There was just something horrific about being eaten alive, it was an experience that would leave a mark, of that Cole was sure. But he still has to survive if he wants to have that mark at all.
Cole still couldn’t move, his healing was still faster than normal, but post level 100, it has been a lot slower, of course he knew growing or advancing his current race would increase his rate of healing. But even without being able to move he could still use his techniques, and right now was an opportunity he’s been looking for, Azrael has to be close by.
Death was close, but this might be his only chance to deal with this guy for good. Cole was just hoping Azrael was not to cautious and was the type that liked to float before his opponent falls. But apart from that Cole was banking on something else. He’s had no idea they have been having this dance, but by this point a bond even if it was one of enmity has been formed, Cole needed to see if he could exploit it.
“Why are you doing this? You and I have no quarrel! If it’s money, whatever they’re paying you, I’ll double it!” at first there was no answer, then the sound of Azrael’s voice coming from the side, he wasn’t too far away, his figure was perched on a roof, looking at Cole without a care in the world.
But Cole already knew how could at deception and deflection Azrael was. He’s never where you think he is, but Cole has noticed or rather he had an inkling suspicion. With how often this guy has made his attacks by himself, he has never done it ay range, except for the crossbow from the first attempt.
That meant Azrael had to be close enough to use his skills. And seeing as he was a really hyper focused assassin, things like large scale attacks would not be his forte, only speed and high precision single person attacks. Cole was the exact opposite, but he needed to make sure how target was close enough and really here.
“I do not do this for money. Money is good to have yes, but in the end it’s just so I can have a more comfortable life when I’m not… ‘working’. Nothing you say will make any difference to me, we are not enemies and I have no grudge against you…. I’m just a killer and your name, came up on my list.”
It didn’t matter if Azrael was here or not.. it was now or never, as Cole would end up very much dead if he wasted any more time here.

[Storm Calling]
[Hunting Pack]
The entire area was locked down immediately as Gravity grew by several magnitudes, enough to flatten a couple of buildings and bring down Azrael to his knees as his face smashed into the ground. The sound of the satisfying crunch let Cole know the first Azrael had been the real one.
But that was just the opening salvo as massive thunder bolts began to flash down from the sky, one making contact and striking Azrael into the ground. Before the next could make an impact he vanished, and as he did so the shadow technique he used to attack Cole vanished as Cole flooded his body with energy and used [Gravity Rings] to start moving him in the direction of the giant monstrosity that had smashed into him, and left him in this sorry state.
Cole found the monster, moving past a particular tall building, only to come face to face with the mother of all space octopuses. It was twice as tall as some of the skyscrapers that he could see, each tentacle was the size of train but at the moment it was bleeding everywhere.
Two of it’s tentacles were a mangled mess, and given how large they are, the entire ruined city scape was covered with a significant amount of space octopus purple blood. Cole did not have much time to contemplate on the size of the creature, he just need to find the closest part of it to throw his ruined body on.
Cole however noticed something strange, the previous space octopus that had attacked him, throwing it’s own tentacles throughout the elevator shaft. It was floating around the much large octopus, which was saying something as it was already as large as truck, so perhaps this was probably it’s big bad elder brother or….. great! He bullied the kid and now the mom had come for retribution.
It was a rather annoying realization but, if the mother wants to he bullied too, then Cole was more than happy to oblige. With the pain both creatures were currently feeling, they didn’t have time to pay attention to the mangled human being that floated past them until he landed on an intact tentacle. 𝑖𝘳𝑎.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Almost immediately there was a suction force as the tentacle became malleable and began to drag Cole in. This was probably another way with which the octopus ate, Cole’s healing was coming along much to slowly for his liking and Azrael was still out there, about to make a move. So Cole needed to do something extreme.
[Sin Eater]
Not that he still has the skill, it was mainly just instinctual and a part of who and what he is right now. The tentacle jerked for a second and froze, but continued as if nothing had happened. The amount Cole was draining was so small the Octopus could not be bothered with paying attention to a parasite that it would soon eat, or will die from absorbing it’s energy due to its extreme potency. It wasn’t worried yet, but soon that would change.
