Cole spat to the side, seeing that monster still on its feet was pretty annoying, but then again when you are up against a creature or such immense power, you had to expect that everything you do would be akin to hitting an egg against a rock. There was just one thing though, thick creature had absolutely no defense or attacks, it’s been defending itself by utilizing physical attacks.
That more than spoke volumes of the level of power it had, however this creature was akin to a hive queen for the Voidlings. It’s their mother and they’re responsible for defending and feeding it. As such it had developed in a way that focused it’s skills and techniques into the management and production of its tiny children. Well compared to it’s own massive size anyways, there was nothing tiny about the Voidlings.
“How do we bring that damn thing down?” Cole asked to join one in particular as he took a closer look at the Void Nestling Azrael appeared besides him as he said.
“It’s severely damaged, has enough defense that we can probably keep hurting it in the same manner till tomorrow and we still won’t be able to bring it down. However it’s screams are so powerful that just those were enough to cause extreme damage to the both of us. Are you done or do you want me to hold your hands to make you heal faster” Cole grinned as he stretched out his palm to Azrael.
“Pretty please?” Azrael made a face, obviously the moment Cole touched him he would drain him dry of every single last essence of energy. Cole was a very dangerous person to have any sort of physical contact with, an equalizer without measure, then Azrael’s eyes Widened as he pointed at the Void Nestling.
“Touch it!”
Cole looked back at him and raised an eyebrow in response. Then he narrowed his eyes when the words registered themselves to him again, as he asked Azrael through gritted teeth.
“What the fuck do you mean by that?”
“You are an energy Vampire are you not? Eat it!” Cole squeezed his face in annoyance.
“It does not work like that.” Azrael blanched as his face developed a dismissive look.
“Excuses, can you or can you not?” it was stupid, Cole knew Azrael was just trying to bait him like he was some child, but for some reason, the damn thing was working and Cole was getting really annoyed. He took a step back to analyze to see if he was being manipulated, but no… Cole was just genuinely annoyed by the look on Azrael’s face.
His form blurred forwards, as he rushed towards the Void Nestling, he blasted off the ground again, using [Gravity Rings] to give him the propulsion he needed to rush towards the void Nestling. The creature panicked, it might not have much in the way of attack, but it was absolutely confident in its defense, yet Cole and Azrael had broke through.
The damage was superficial, but it was still damage. And right now it was panicking and more than a hundred percent more focused on making sure that it did not feel any more form of pain again than it already did. So it swung all of its tentacles/hands, blotting the void with its massive appendages. 𝑖.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Cole stepped on the air, black and white lightning cracked open a rift as he appeared right on top of the void Nestling’s head. This damn thing was slow, and had not attacking capabilities other than physically swinging it’s skyscrapers long tentacles arms around, and releasing a soul shattering sonic scream of pain.
All these they could pretty much handle, if they had enough time to get acclimated with it. This Void Nestling would be defenseless to Cole’s and Azrael’s bullying and their attempts to kill each other. Cole landed on the black as Night flesh and placed his hand on it and started absorbing…..that was a mistake.
It might not have any major ways to attack, but it had absolute control over its own energy. And even if the energy gets out of it’s control once it’s gotten into Cole’s body. That small space where the control is lost, when it was still intact, was enough for the creature to strike back. The full might of a rank well above the diamond rank, with energy so empty and dark, devoid of anything and wholesome in its advance to swallow everything up.
Cole had his entire right arm all the way up to the shoulders blasted into a bloody mist as he leaned his head to the side, evading the rest of the energy beam/vent the void Nestling just used to injure Cole.
Cole stepped on the void, the lightning more black than white as he stomped down to escape, however a rift tore right through the massive skull of the Void Nestling as Cole reappeared on the train, missing an arm as the Void Nestling let our a second roar of pain, but this one sputtered out, as the rift seemed to collapse into self and sucked up half the body of the Void Nestling into it, leaving the other bloody half to hang in the void before breaking down into blackish smoke that merged with the void.
Cole turned around and marched up to Razor, but ducked to the side the moment a purple scythe with more vibrancy than others before slashed down on the spot where he had previously occupied. Rifts appeared as he showed up with his revolver pointed and placed right on Azrael’s skull. He squeezed the trigger.
*Bang!*
Azrael moved, his speed and understanding and control of the kinetic stat a lot more focused and streamline than Cole’s. The force the bullet generates as it moved out of the chamber was what he borrowed to moved his head, sliding out of the way of the barrel for the bullet to take a chunk of his forehead and skull off, as he [Shadow Step] away, teleporting to put some distance between him and Cole who still had his revolver pointed out with his left hand, his armor had dislodged and reformed into it’s Direwolf King form, as Lyren let out a slavering growl at Azrael’, daring him to move as Cole came to a stop in front of Razor and pointed at his missing stump.
“Something’s wrong Razor….. my arm’s not healing back.”
“What did you say?” Razor asked surprised and Cole made to repeat himself before the younger Raen waved his hand at him.
“I heard you the first time, what’s wrong with it?” Razor asked, but it was the train driver that answered.
“it’s been eaten by the void, even if you’re the system itself, that arm will not be coming back, it’s lost to the void for good.”
